The local ESPN radio affiliate in Panama City just went to break offering two free tickets and a parking pass to Miami game this weekend.
When they returned from the commercial break, they had just two callers. ??

1. PCB is quite a ways away from Miami.
2. It is even further away from Winston-Salem, NC, where Miami will be playing tonight
I'm not so sure your average person in the PCB area could drop everything and catch a flight to NC for a 6:30 game tonight.

This isn't the gotcha that you think it is for obvious reasons. Miami traditionally doesn't have a large fan base compared to other major programs, PCB is a LOOONG way from Miami, and they are not playing at home this weekend.
Similar to the flex people try to put on USC for low attendance the last 2 weeks. Of course their games aren't well attended, there is a shite ton of stuff to do in LA besides a football game. But people from the South hold that up as some kind of put down because the people in LA don't let a college football game dictate their lives.

Then spend thousands getting to venue, getting a hotel, etc etc
Spend $200 + in stadium for shitty hotdogs and nachos
Leave game at half because Miami is up by 60.
Get hime and regret every oenny you threw away because you go "free" tickets

This is like local radio in Nashville offering LSU fans free tickets to the game at Arkansas with 12 hour notice to pick up your tickets and figure out how to get to Fayetteville for game time.
