It doesn't matter. New sod has a deep root system and you can't even tell it was just placed.

Those idiots in charge didnt cover the field for the concert?!?!

What a shite show. Very Mexico of them.

It looks like that because they covered it, without a cover the grass would be torn to shite and you wouldn’t see any painted lines left

Props to the NFL for taking this game away from the fans and moving it to Mexico City.

Actually, it was last week in the Superdome.

And once you've seen the field that the Rams share with USC then that field in Mexico City won't seem as bad.

I think it's a slap in the face to America and mostly the US soccer team that the NFL plays a game in that stadium.
frick Mexico.
I hope Chicharito is at the game by the sidelines and has a play end towards him with someone rolling up into him and snapping both his legs in half.
Later in the game, i hope an errant pass finds Rafa Marquez and he's decapitated by it.
Then i hope every section with Mexican fans in it collapses.

Excellent.

Mexico City likely has the fewest lawn/turf specialists of anywhere in Mexico, there ain't that much grass, and what there is, city workers likely still cut with scythes.

So they painted the word "record" all over the field. I don't see what the big deal is.
