Purdue had better wins than St John’s, St John’s really only beat UConn twice thats what they hung their hat on
Purdue beat Bama, Texas Tech, Nebraska twice and Michigan.

St. John’s against us played like shite and was very unimpressive. We just played shittier.

The only team that has a prayer of staying within 10 points of Arizona is Michigan. They look as strong as UConn did a few years ago blowing everyone out

Just got home from the game. It was really, really bad. We got lucky with some very low seats and saw the action up close. They called a gazillion touch fouls on the perimeter and then they would swallow the whistle at the rack, then call laughable touch foul And-1s. Just no consistency.
With the score 46-46, on a long rebound that Iowa hauls in, Iowa had the ball on the other end of the court going in for layup 2 on zero with no Illinois player within 30’ of them and they call an off ball foul on Illinois player who was laying on the ground and tripped an Iowa player to stop the break. Pathetic call at this level.
They effectively ended the game when Sage got hacked by two different guys at the rim then called a touch foul on the other end two possessions later after Iowa hit a 3 to close the gap back to 5.

Lost 3 Elite 8 games by a total of 6 points.
Lost to runner-up Kansas in 2003 who Arizona had whipped during the regular season.
Definitely had a streak of being snake-bit.

I will never understand officials not just calling any questionable goal tending plays to allow review. You know other than rigging things
