He is on pace for around 40-50 professional wins and 3-5 majors

Koepka had a hot streak ala Spieth and will never recapture his peak glory.

Do you base this just on money?

I think people will fault DJ for his boring personality when factoring in greatness, but his resume is well on its way to being top 5 material. Needs a few more majors and 15 more wins and he’s right there. He’s on pace for it.
-23 time pga tour winner
-Major winner
-Runner up in other 3 majors
Won every year for like 12 years which is crazy
-Top 5 all time in weeks at number 1
-tour champion
All of this taking into account it’s during the most competitive timeframe in golf history and he’s in the top echelon as far as accomplishments go
ETA:
Personally I think he’ll end up like Phil as far as greatness ranks go.

Lol you're missing Faldo, Watson, Trevino tons of great players.

DJ also choked the lead away the next day too

Dj shot a 68 on Sunday. That is hardly choking
Morikawa just went nuts with a 64

He only has one? I don’t follow golf all that much but the way people talk about DJ, I would expect he had more than one major. How can people talk about him being potentially top 5 all time when he only has one major?
Posted on 9/9/20 at 8:25 am to kciDAtaE
Because potentially top 5 doesn’t mean top 5. The way he’s playing and considering how well he’s played in majors, people are assuming he’ll get 5+.

Did you not read the No Laying Up link? At his 51st major, Phil won his 2cd with all of his runner ups...at Wing Foot, it will be DJs 48th major. DJ has easily 10 more years on the tour.

So he is on par to have a career similar to Phil is what you’re sayin? Is Phil considered a top 5 golfer of all time?

I’m not, but the data service No Laying Up is using is comparing both Phil and DJ together.

IMHO...
Phil is in the category of Sarazen, Faldo, Seve, and Trevino...outside the top 10.
DJ is on track to join that group of golfers.

Right now yes he's on track for that. But Phil's career is defined by near misses in majors. If DJ can get over the hump better than Phil, he could really start stacking trophies that put him in top 5 territory.
Phil's resume, to me, is top 10. People will argue he's not though.
- Top 10 wins
- 5 majors
- Runner Up 11 times in majors (3rd place 7 times)
- 2nd (to Tiger) with 38 top 10's in majors

He’s 36 years old and has 1 major and 23 wins on tour. How exactly is he “on pace” for 40-50 wins and 3-5 majors? So he “only” needs to double his career tournament wins and win 4 more majors when he’s already 36?
He has a LONG way to go to be considered as a top 10 golfer of all-time, much less Top 5.

He has 25 professional wins combined not counting crossovers. I think minimum he gets 15 more. You disagree?
And yes or no, do you think he wins 3 or more majors? I say he does
