Would love to see him in a Pelicans jersey! He's my favorite player in the game (made me some serious coin with the Orange as a freshman).

Hard to find Melo supporters bc he doesn't own a ring yet but if he gets in the right situation he will get his.

Melo is one of those guys who is really good on his own but he doesn't make his team better.

I dont think Melo will ever be on a championship team as the #1 option

Agreed but as the 2nd option whatever team would have to be conference finals material

Yeah. If Melo ever wins a championship it will be in his Mid 30's when he can be a good 2nd option scoring maybe 18-22 pts a game.

honestly I doubt he will ever win a NBA championship though.

Melo to the C's to combine with Rondo, Wiggins, and Sully.

GOAT team in progress.

You're probably right about that. Never played great D or loved to pass the rock but man he was electric with the 'Cuse

Heat LOCK

Just kidding. Dont see him leaving a big market. That would mean staying with the Knicks, going to Brooklyn, LAL, or LAC. Will not go to LAL if D'antoni is still at the helm. The Russian is willing to pay for him in Brooklyn. Clips could be a viable option. All in all I see him staying in New York, especially if they can lure another star to play with him. The bright lights in the big apple are appealing and he can get more money from them.

Remember 6-7 years ago when people said this about Dirk.

Every bit of this. I couldn't agree more.

And then he went 3-12 in his next 15 playoff games. People were talking about how he was too soft and didn't have the makeup to be the best player on a championship team.

I hear this a lot and tend to disagree. Isolation players can win and have often. What Melo needs is a cast around him that opens the floor. A couple of shooters that can spread and a Post that can step out and draw his defender or stay inside effectively.

Currently I just don't see the cast there. JR Smith takes too many contested shots with his man right on him. When he takes these isolation jumpers or drives iso he is essentially taking shots away from Melo; a player who does these things more effectively.

Chandler is extremely limited offensively allowing his man to loosen up on him at time to help on Melo

Absolutely hate the MWP addition. When he was on the lakers it would kill me to see some of the stuff he would throw up with Kobe on the floor. Absolutely inexcusable shots for a player of his caliber

If Shumpert can keep his 3pt% up like last year I think he is a great piece with Melo

Interested to see how Bargnani fits in as well
