Honestly, AJ would probably be #2 on my list.
He may be a game-manager at Alabama for the most part, but he has one of the best arms in the class with experience playing in a pro-style offense.

Braxton could acually be pretty fricking good if he sticks to fundamentals in the pocket. He tended to lose his composure under any pressure last year and it showed in a lot of throws. He's already got a cannon for an arm. It sucks that his freshmen year was a waste under such a shitty coaching tree. It didn't do anything for him besides getting the speed of the college game down.

I think AJ is a very good QB; he has made multiple high quality NFL throws, especially in the last 2 title games that I watched
B. Miller has a ways to go but he will likely stay 2 more years. He could be in the high 60%s when he leaves, which could make him good enough. I think he can be as good as or even better than Russell Wilson, who got put into a great situation and made the most of it

He completed almost 70 percent of his throws last year, and they went for 8.0 yards per attempt. I also like the way he mixes up his targets, using wideouts, tight ends and his backs as the situation demands. His athleticism and ability to make reads as a runner are pluses, but Mariota can also get it done with his arm.
wonder how different things will be for Mariota and the rest of the Oregon offense now that Chip Kelly is gone.

But give McCarron credit, because he really can stretch defenses with his arm, and the fact that he doesn't make costly mistakes shouldn't just be labeled as a case where he's not allowed to take his shots. He'll still have a great surrounding cast in 2013, but McCarron is better than some recent Bama QBs, and will be a better prospect as well.
meh... saying he is better than Parker-Wilson and McElroy is a given. But he has a chance to separate himself even if he comes somewhat close to what he did last year.

Mariota is on there because of Kaepernick. Kiper is a tard.
Posted on 5/15/13 at 5:56 pm to LooseCannon22282
Exactly. If AJ has a season like he did last year he will definitely be very high up in the draft

I think AJ's arm is overrated. He sorta slings it and doesn't seem to "drive" a ball in there when he needs. Not saying he hasn't thrown a hard pass...just seems to me he can't hammer one in there in the NFL.
I don't think he'll be good in the NFL.

bridgewater

im a fan of AJ, I just cant see him making it in the pros for some reason. Can't tell you why, just a gut feeling
Posted on 5/15/13 at 6:07 pm to Carson123987
Exactly. I watch him and say...that ain't workin in the NFL.

How Murray isn't on this list is beyond me. I understand he has a height disadvantage, but cmon man...
Posted on 5/15/13 at 6:10 pm to genro
Yea the NC games stick out to me. He made some NFL throws in both of them. The the first few plays against ND were on point.

Very weak QB class.
Not sold on Bridgewater at all.

Did Aaron Murray have a career ending-injury or something?

I agree. And it's pretty unwarranted. There's probably tons of casual fans who still think Bama is a pound it out team. In reality, Bama was a pass-first team last year.
Exactly. Anyone still hating on AJ needs a reality check. He won a few games for Bama last year. Especially with the emergence of young WR's, I look for them to continue to grow the pass game.

wouldn't want to take any of those 5 in top 10 picks.

This term needs to either be redefined or wiped off the face of the earth

Meh. If he was a big time NFL prospect or even a fringe 1st rounder right now i think he wouldve thrown his hat into the weakest QB draft class in recent memory this year
I think teams are skeptical of him

You forgot Todd McShay's darling David Fales.
Kellen Moore 2.0

Mariota first round grade is awful or even top 5.. but hey we all have opinions.
I do like Murray top 5 as well.
I don't think it is a weak QB class at all, and I'm not buying the AJ must not be liked by NFL or else he'd come out this year. Alabama players tend to stay.. It's middle of the pack IMO.. with the potential be be Above Average.
