McNeese beat Nicholls by 27 and 21 in the regular season. I would have to assume that the Bayou Bandits matchup well with the Colonels.

Seemed like A&M-CC was the one team that could hang with McNeese. Have to think McNeese is going to beat the shite out of Nicholls tomorrow.

What is McNeese’s projected seeding ? Do they have enough to maybe get on the 14 line?

Seems like most projections are a 12-13 seed. Need to avoid a team with great 3 point shooting because they focus so much on interior defense they are vulnerable to 3 point shooters.

Hopefully with a little help and a healthy beatdown of Nicholls we can propel ourselves into an 11 seed to give us the best chance at an upset.
Diante Smith played extremely well in LC a couple of weeks ago, but I’d look for Wade to force someone else to beat his squad today.
Keys to the game for McNeese:
McNeese stay out of foul trouble
Pressure the ball to create turnovers
Patience with shot selection
Keys to the game for Nicholls:
Play physical and make mcneese foul
Limit turnovers in transition
Force mcneese to take bad shots
Don’t let Shumate behind your defense lest you end up on SportsCenter getting posterized

This matchup is a nightmare for Nicholls because they literally have zero advantages in this game. Between Shumate, Collum, and Felder protecting the rim and Wells, Coop, and Garcia on the perimeter, McNeese just out-classes Nicholls.
This comes down to Nicholls not having good enough guard play to protect the ball and facilitate their offense.
