Again, Tulane will continue to be, well, fricking horrendous, until they get an on-campus stadium. And I WANT Tulane to succeed.

I'd be surprised if they had 5,000 people at some games last season, judging from the TV.

Isn't there a 15,000 per game average requirement?

yes, but you hire LSU ,Texas and other such schools to come to the Dome to beat you to death & pad the #'s to get around that.

Prom, I love the shot of the 'S vs McNeese scoreboard. I noticed the deer in the headlights, nice touch. I also noticed the way USL gets around not being able to call themselves U of L; LOUISIANA'S Ragin' Cajuns. I will now refer to them as the 'S for the rest of my life. I've noticed it before , but the scoreboard really made the 'S stick out to me.

I too hope Tulane puts a good amount of true freshmen on the field.

McNeese played North Carolina tough in 2008, losing 35-27. McNeese actually outgained UNC in that game.

Anyone who thinks this will not be a competitive game is crazy. Given the current state of Tulane's program, I would not be stunned if McNeese pulled an upset.

Also McNeese will have 5,000-7,000 fans at this game, it won't be a sold out packed stadium like the UNC game either.

There is actually a thread on the tulane board where people are scared of McNeese. Hell ULL was not even scared of Mcneese.

Ridiculous...McNeese showed some grit against UNC this year, but let's not lose perspective.

Tulane has key players RB Andre Anderson, WR Jeremy Williams, etc. coming back...and will prevail in their 1st game against McNeese.
***Tulane is 8-0 v. La. Tech, 2-0 v. ULM and 20-4 v. ULL (ULL's last win was in 1995, Tulane has won the last 4 games).

I agree, but like the idea of LSU, Tulane, ULM, ULL and La. Tech scheduling each other.
LSU has La. Tech and ULL on their 2009 schedule.

Yeah the record could have been 45-4 if they have been playing mcneese for the last 11 years.
AGREED.

I can't believe you guys have the audacity to say that McNeese doesn't deserve to play Tulane. Not as delusional as ULL fans, but it's pretty ridiculous.

I don't agree with the "don't deserve to play Tulane" statement.
Most Div. IA programs schedule a Div. IAA/II program. It's no big deal. McNeese has a nice program and more importantly, they're an LA school. Let's just hope Tulane prevails, as it has against ULM, ULL and La. Tech.

Prom, have you heard how Ian Harson from Iowa hs is doing? I think he went to Tulane as a safety.

I'd say TU would be more like a 7-10 point favorite.

So you are saying that McNeese is better than SMU also ???

Well played...
I support all LA teams...but c'mon. Tulane will be favored by a healthy margin and will win the game.
