The weird thing is that Shanahan brought in McNabb and gave him the extension. I have never seen a coach go to such lengths to sabotage a major personnel decision in this way that he orchestrated.

ETA: Funny story about Grossman. An article mentioned his dad was a Dr. so I found the office # online and before Florida played LSU awhile back I called his office and told the nurse I was Rex and asked for his dad. The dad was with a patient and I guess the nurse knew Rex well and I had a 5 minute conversation with her and told her I blew out my knee in practice and my career was going to be over and to have dad call me ASAP. I was at the ten wash game this year and mcnabb was bad. He threw for a lot of yards for 2 reasons: our pass defense is horrid and he had like 50 attempts....I was unimpressed with him...I was at titans eagles in like 01 and he has dropped so far it's sad
