Well, this is just awkward for Urban

Yeah Urban has a few servings of crow to eat.
He's removed at least one player from the team due to domestic violence allegations since 2015.

Yep. Can't possibly keep him. Right or wrong, keeping him will do more harm to OSU than letting him go.
They'll work out an exit strategy and a pay plan, then he's gone.

The fact that the university still hasn’t issued a statement is pretty bad
Can't just draft a presser that you're firing a coach in 15 minutes. The AD and Pres will have to chop that first.
He gone.

If they're going to let him go, they should fire him with cause.

OSU has all the luck. Why can't this happen to Orgeron instead?

Would this put OSU bowl ineligible for a few years?

I'm not going to judge/pile on too much. College sports are gross. All we care about is that these guys win ballgames, then seem surprised when they act like dickheads. A large portion of the players probably have no business being in school. Title IX then adds kangaroo court insanity to all of it. As long as you're not covering up pedo shite, I don't think a coach should be crucified too much for mishandling a hot potato like this.
The only thing I was really butthurt over with OSU is that they ended up better off from the Tressel thing happening than without it. So, it's only fair that the bill come due for making a deal with the devil.

So you mean to tell me the penn state stuff that went on was a non story too?
No frickstain, in fact I've already addressed how this and Penn State are dramatically different from a legal standpoint.

This could be the earliest the Coaching Changes board has ever been activated.

For what? This isn’t a NCAA investigation.
