Can't be accepted by whom?
I can accept it. They already saw a tape of Rice dragging a clearly knocked out woman from an elevator. 2 and 2 isn't tough to put together sometimes, and most agreed that he had hit her. But without clear evidence, the NFL went with a punishment they felt was legitimate (which was much worse than the DA's punishment, mind you). Then the public wasn't happy about it, so the NFL and Goodell knew that. So now that this tape is going public, they have their chance to "make things right" in terms of the eyes of the public and the punishment that it thinks Rice should get.
I'm not saying what Goodell did (giving Rice two games) is right or justified, though it's more of a punishment that I think most people care to admit. I'm simply saying that calling for his job is bad form here. Now, the more he talks and if he digs himself deeper and deeper, and it later comes out that he had the video and everything since the beginning of this was a lie, I can see people being mad about that. But I still don't think that results in him losing his job, and nor should it (though I could understand an argument for him losing it more at that point than I can i the last few days).

Ummm genius, there was enough evidence to suspend members in the organization for paying for performance which is a violation of league rules.
No evidence of intentional injuring and targeting players for injury for bonuses. You point to the San Fran game, but no on field incidents in that game. Spoken word but not clinched fist. Also I remember the Saints were among the top for fewest personal foul and late hit calls and things of the like.
I can remember fondly when DeMaurice Smith got on first take and called out Goodell and said he was getting ready to prove it was all a hoax and lie, the ESPN cronies looked very uncomfortable and then after the players were vindicated we never heard anything again about since.

Bad form calling for his job
Well the, rantards aren't going to influence his firing, but when NOW, Congess and all the rest of the pack enter the picture and start hollering, he may get canned because, it's just not worth dealing with the shitstorm. Bad form has nothing to do with it; it's not the Westminster Dog show.

Oh is that where the organization went along with everything in order to stay in the good graces of Goodell as well as participate in the collusion to help mitigate the concussion law suit.
Yeah I saw all of that too, however it's funny is that when the players challenged it no evidence could be found, things get sketchy and suspensions were overturned.

I guess an admission doesn't constitute "evidence" in your book?
Hargrove says you are wrong

DeMaurice Smith says I'm right
And we are still waiting for Roger to release the transcripts and evidence. Maybe one day we will get it huh?

I couldn't care less. The Saints covered up the truth and told players to lie about it. They paid the price. I'm a Dolphins fan. We had "Bullygate". The Dolphins responded by releasing 2 players and firing an assistant coach and the head trainer. Fix the problem internally and transparently and Goodell doesn't have to dole out the punishment.
