I don’t know about the lazy part, but I know several guys who have played in the minors who have said so many of the Latin players are really, really, unbelievably dumb. Like extremely stupid.
And I don’t remember clearly, but I think the guys I’m talking about specifically mentioned Dominicans too.

Also, it's not shocking given the education system in the countries they originate.
