Haha shut up! It started as your take but then you added this...wish we could all be cool like you. Players can do what they want and NFL can choose to fine them. And players can choose to appeal. Now go play with your retired friend.

eta: btw im so excited right now to talk football

Jimmy G injected a bit of fun back into the NFL offseason this year with his date night. That's pretty much the only fun discussion that's taken place.

Also, I'm highly curious how this Donald & Mack holdout will play out. Especially Donald's situation considering his take home pay last season was under $1M.

But like you said. It's good to have football talk back.

Nah, that's just a lot of ignorance in one post. Reminded me of a call-in talk radio rant tbh.

Jerry even went out on the field with his team as a sign of unity before the MNF against Arizona.

Jerry went out on the field as a show. He thought that would put an end to the whole thing thing solely because he did it.

So why flip the script and make such a hardline move right before training camp?

Branding. While the other owners may give an inch to players and go back looking for a compromise he's making it clear he won't. Don't worry fans, no one will be more draped in the flag/troops/America than the Cowboys.

I said something similar on page two. This is JJ's moment to step out and market the cowboys as he always has.

Personally, I'm hoping Zeke or Dak take a knee. Just like I hope the entire Miami Dolphins team takes a knee after their owner made his comments last week.

Hopefully not. No need to further this idiotic protest.

Hopefully Zeke or Dak are only taking knees to celebrate touchdowns or in the victory formation.

Jenkins had no reason to comment about something Stevie Boy really did not say. There’s an inference but nothing clear. Plus as an employer he can do as sees fit.

I don't think it's idiotic if ppl tuned into what some of the players have had to say. Long, Jenkins, Boldin, Foster and a few others have opened the door for dialogue on the subject at hand.

The NFL owners have found a way to step all over themselves this offseason when it comes to the matter.

Hopefully FOXN doesn't make the same mistake they did with Zach Ertz when they do so.

FIFY lol and thats what he should do, he's not worth all these billions for nothing this is a business its commerce its about money and gaining consumers, mass appeal politics in the entertainment/athletic profession naturally divides and deters consumers, no one's paying them for their politics they're paying them to excel and achieve on the football field

I actually have tuned in. Their protest lacks merit IMO. The bad optics are just icing on the cake.

I'm sorry, but this is such a bs line. It's almost always a code for doing something silly, stupid, or needlessly inflammatory for the sake of pushing whatever narrative. "It starts a conversation," is a tepid premise, IMO.

Agree with you 100% here. Whole thing has been a shitshow that could have been easily avoided/mitigated.

Jerry's driving force is not purity or integrity. Its cold hard cash by way of advertisy revenue. He is only protecting his own interests by keeping his advertisers happy. I have zero issue with him. In fact, I hope a Cowboy tests him and then gets waived.

Let me clarify. I think some of those dudes have tried to enhance their community. I know Jenkins & Boldin have met with law enforcement in Philly and they have discussed some issues among one another. I even believe Jenkins and Vernon Davis went to DC to meet with Congress. But I’m not 100% sure

Chris Long donated all of his game checks and definitely wants to set the record straight on Charlottesville, VA after last years incident.

A lot of times, ppl like to think athletes are all show and no substance. But it’s good to see dudes openly communicating and trying to make progress in areas that sometimes they aren’t originally from.

Here is how you handle this stupid shite:

NFLPA and Commish go into a room, Commish offers to stop mary J testing, and players either stand or stay in locker room for anthem.

Would stop this tit for tat shite immediately. Punishment for sitting would be pot testing back on. Players would beat the frick out of a kneeler for messing with their pot consumption.
