I’m thinking backup that may get a chance to start a few years down the road.

Like most QBs in my opinion, it will depend on where he goes.

I don’t have high expectations

I’m not usually one to hold it against a QB for being on a good team but this is another level. He’s not going to know what to do when there isn’t 10 seconds to throw and 7 yards of separation he had this year

I think his floor is a Matt Flynn type career. He could also be a better Alex Smith, though.

You really haven’t learned your lesson from the Derrick Henry threads have you

I foresee this getting attention at some point

Brandon Allen/Aj McCarron type career. He will eventually get his opportunity to start.

I don't think anyone really has any idea, because he's always in a clean pocket throwing to wide open receivers.

I think career backup which is by no means a bad thing. I think he will get some chances to make a name for himself when a vet in front of him gets injured.

He was hardly pressured at all this season.

I think he's very good moving inside the pocket, but he won't be able to extend plays in the NFL and he'll have trouble against free rushers.

He has great touch and accuracy. Arm strength is a question/problem if he is forced to make a lot of throws under pressure. Again, it depends a lot on what team drafts him.

Basically anyone can play quarterback in the NFL nowadays. Can he have an extended stay as a starting quarterback and get a second contract? I honestly have no idea. I think I want to say yes.

I’ll buck the trend of this thread and say I believe he’ll be successful. He’s got a cannon on him and he’s quick to read his progressions.

Like a Case Keenum. Good enough to start in a pinch, but not a long-term solution.

I really don't think he does. He has average arm strength at best.

My favorite comp I’ve seen for him so far is Kirk Cousins. I could see him being a good starter with a good infrastructure around him but not the type of guy who’s going to elevate an average supporting cast

Better than any other Alabama QB in the NFL.

Whenever he’s under any pressure whatsoever, he panics. Panic causes issues and turnovers. Reggie Ball could have had the stats Jones put up with that OL.

Jones better buy his entire OL a gift or two once he signs a contract. Because it’s because of them that he’s where he’s at today. He won’t have that luxury against professionals.

Love Mac. I think he'll be somewhere between Kirk Cousins and Ryan Fitzpatrick. I don't see him becoming a top 10 NFL QB, but I'd love to be wrong. His biggest strengths are his smarts, his anticipation, and his movement in the pocket. He lacks much athleticism and his arm is just ok.
