Texas is 7-1 vs UNC over the last 15 years
not sure if youre using this as a dig at UNC...but whens the last time Texas won a National Championship? ill wait

why tho?
Because Dale Brown and Johnny Jones paid Lester Earl. Somehow LSU fans accept that Roy Williams alone made Lester Earl lie and say that. And that Roy Williams was somehow responsible for the destruction of some false basketball empire that LSU supposedly had.

Wut?
Bro, it was a stat. I didn’t mean it to be anything more. Two programs that have been solid over that timeframe. Obviously, UNC is the blue blood. But still, to have a series that is lopsided in favor of Texas is a bit intriguing.
If your point is that Texas sucks, then you’ve only made that stat seem more of an outlier.

To be fair, UNC hasn’t been a one and done mill. So not certain if the relevance.
Roy built his success through elite collegiate players. Not necessarily elite NBA talent.
I always thought PJ Hairston could have been an all star NBA player. Had the size, drive, and shooting ability. Dude lost his marbles though and flamed out after getting the boot.
Don’t pretend though that Danny Green wasn’t an integral part of two different championship teams. Which is more than your 1 year, can’t shoot a 3 to save his life, Ben Simmons.

Ehh, I'd disagree. UNC had 16 McDonald's All Americans sign in the 2010-20 decade.
Roy is recruiting stars, not coaching up midlevel guys. McDonalds AA isn't always predictive of pro prospects...but it's a pretty good correlation to how much projected NBA talent you have.

HS stars.*
I’ve never been under the illusion many of the players Roy coached were going to be all stars at thr NBA level. Barnes is one but I thought he left too early and was always too passive a player. Ellington? Eh. Flaws in his game.
I thought Lawson would have done better. Jackson was always on this thin side.
Name me some guys you thought were NBA all star quality during their recruitment?
* I’d consider Meeks, Cam Johnson, Psycho T, Maye, Paige, and Brice Johnson as guys that were coached up.

Hey Unc is my number 2 team. Just crazy to think they haven’t had an nba all star since 08

False narrative created by Rantards and built on comments that were never made. Simmons has a problem with the NCAA and NBA rules not LSU. If there’s a story that originated on the Rant you can be sure it isn’t real.

Also not true and was never proven with evidence. Earl even released a public apology to Brown and Jones over the lie asking for forgiveness but the story was buried to protect Williams and UNC.
