2019 OLB
Chaisson 6'4" 250lb
Divinity 6'2" 240lb
Anthony 6'4" 250lb
Thorton 6'3" 230lb

this really isnt relevant now though. Chaisson and Divinity are gone.

and Anthony and Thornton have shown nothing throughout their careers.

You have five scholarship inside linebackers for next year. That's it.

did we have more than 5 scholarship ILBs this year? correct me if im wrong, but believe that number was no more than 5 and we played a 3-4.

Feel free to explain how a Marcus Spears or Tyson Jackson is a 4-3 defensive end and Neil Farrell is not. Happy to listen.

i dont necessarily disgaree with your logic that a 4-3 DE can come in many forms. but Farrell does not strike me as a guy that possesses the level of athletic ability to play a 4-3 DE. there may be other guys on the roster that fit that role a little better than him though, but he is a 3-tech in a 4-3.

Definitely need to bring in a young QB so he can learn under brees and be ready when he retires

people have been saying this shite after every season for at least the last 5 years. unless we know for certain Brees is retiring, which he likey isnt, we arent wasting a draft pick on a QB. this shite is foolish.

Because Dale Brown and Johnny Jones paid Lester Earl. Somehow LSU fans accept that Roy Williams alone made Lester Earl lie and say that. And that Roy Williams was somehow responsible for the destruction of some false basketball empire that LSU supposedly had.

here for this. but honestly, im a UNC fan and was trying to stick up for my guy. theres been a lot of UNC slander on this board today.

Have no clue why people keep putting this stuff out there when there’s ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that says this is likely... The personnel that was recruited in this class suggests the alignment is going to remain 3-4.... LSU does not have a single 4-3 de on this roster

Even had a poster suggests K’ Lavon stay an additional year to come back and play as a 4-3 de lol This stuff is getting more outrageous every day it seems

right. the guys we've signed thus far fit the mold of the 3-4/3-3-5 scheme we've been running. thats not to say they cant transition into fitting a 4-3, but would be odd to try to fit a bunch of square pegs into round holes.

build the scheme around the players, dont try to fit the players into a rigid scheme

Texas is 7-1 vs UNC over the last 15 years

not sure if youre using this as a dig at UNC...but whens the last time Texas won a National Championship? ill wait

frick Roy Williams

why tho?

Think he ends up staying at nickel and in some situations he could play safety.

hes become such a slave to the money. the lack of improvements is just alarming considering the window seems to be closing quicker than anyone expected.

honestly not sure if they are any better than, best case scenario, 3rd place in the division right now

He is a major piece but Sampah, Ojulari (sp), and White are going to wreck offense's next year.

its tough to expect true freshmen, especially true freshmen lineman/edge rushers, to come in and contribute right away

Seeing as we likely go to a 4-3 w/ a new DC

would we switch to 4-3 with no pure 4-3 defensive ends? Farrell and Logan are DTs, and do we really want Andre Anthony and Ray Thornton on the field that much?

seems like many of the recruits, along the D Line particularly, we've signed fit the 3-4/3-3-5 mold of Aranda.

lol true. beyond all the sign stealing shite, they lost 2 significant pieces to their success in Cole and Harris and have essentially signed no one of value.

what is crazy is all the new revenue streams they have and they are not doing anything with it.

no chance they acquire Arenado

Marcel aint big enough to play LB/edge rusher, a la K'Lavon, every down. hes fine on 3rd down passing down, but he would get swallowed up if the offense runs to his side.

are there any actual good reasons for Ricketts' unwillingness to spend?

i agree that health will be the biggest key to success this year. but not doing anything to fix literally anything from last year is a little concerning. also, wtf is the bullpen at this point?

willy stays, but once KB's grievance is denied, it wouldnt shock me if Theo moves him for pitching.

seems to me like Jacoby's future lies in embracing a position change to LB. will be interesting to see if we stick if the same (or a similar) scheme next year with a new DC.

Marcel Brooks' Position

i love the energy this dude brings and hope we can find a way to consistently get him on the field, but where will he play?

he's really not big enough to be an every-down LB/rush end; although, i thought he filled in for Divinity nicely in the Cheetah package.

maybe he will move back to safety but play more towards the LOS, as a hybrid safety/LB, similar to Jacoby Stevens this year.

we will see but hes too athletic to be on the sidelines or to be used strictly as a 3rd down pass rusher.

Chicago Cubs Offseason

With Spring Training around the corner, are the Cubs really content on not doing much of anything this offseason?

they have made a few marginal moves, and i know the Bryant grievance/service time situation has slowed this down. but damn, is Theo really this hamstrung by Ricketts? Theo doesnt actually believe this team , which is more or less the same team as last year, will have any real success this year, does he?

No real option at 2nd base (maybe Hoerner?), Almora/Happ in CF ( :yack: ), and who the hell is the 5th starter at this point?

Are they better than the Cards, Brewers, or even Reds this year?
