True and in the last decade the Saints and Arizona Cardnials have more playoff wins than Dallas and just as many championships. The Cowgirsl have just as many playoff wins as the Texans

That just shows how much you guys regard the Cowboys as a team to beat. That means you hold them to a higher standard.

And 'rivalries' are something based on history. Thus, championships become relevant.

I don't think you grasped my meaning. The Cowboys aren't some big rivalry to me. The only game that was HUGE was the one in 2006 where we were battling for a first round bye and 2nd seed in the playoffs.

All the other games were between 2 mediocre teams. Even the time we knocked you guys out of the playoffs, you sucked. Aikman was on his last legs.

And the Lions. My favorite story of the 2008 NFL season is how Jerry Jones overreacted and traded his 1st for Roy Williams

Brilliant move, Skeletor. The Cowboys are a joke and won't make the playoffs again this season.

So all you are establishing is that the Saints and Cowboys (and Lions) haven't really done shite in the 2000's...ok.

true. And with this being said, I find it very fricking hilarious when a Cowboys fan gets called a "bandwagoner". Most of us(my age) grew up loving Dallas and it started off terrible for us( age 7-12 bad years), we had some awesome early teenage years and since then it's been pretty terrible. So you can't have it both ways(and I'm not really addressing you here H-town, but a lot of the shitgivers who hate on the Cowboys.) but my point is we are all front running bandwagoners, yet we haven't won a playoff game in 10+ years.

Dallas Cowboy fans from Louisiana -- especially those from any area outside of the Shreveport metro area -- are the lamest.

I give these other NBA team fans a bit of a pass, but not so much, and less every year.

Les that wasn't a shot at me was it? I thought we were cool. I will admit there are quite a bit more Laker fans on here, but I don't associate myself with them.

Absolutely.

Ok, fine. The team was in Oklahoma City for two years, and we weren't sure we'd ever see them again. Now they're back, and most aren't sure they'll be here in ten years.

....nah, I just can't be rational in this debate. Root for the Hornets or die in a pool of your own shite.

that's horseshite. The entire Westside of La should be able to claim Dallas. shite, Dallas was on TV more than the Saints were when I was coming up. And I attended aprox 15 Cowboys games vs 1 Saints game in the Superdome and that was against Dallas.

Houston and Dallas used to be the favorite destinations for visiting NBA teams (because of the number of good looking women).
NOLA has taken over because of the legendary partying.

It is also the favorite destination of the media for Super Bowls, Final Fours or any other sporting event.

Where?

If you were in say, Lake Charles, you should have been a Houston Oilers fan, not Dallas.

Leesville. and No, even being 3 hours from Houston I was always anti-houston everything. Never liked the Oilers, Rockets or even the Stros, but I went to a lot of Astros games to see other teams.

Anyway, all my folks are from the Dallas area so it was pretty much ingrained in me since I was old enough to remember anything. My best memories are watching Dallas games with my Grandpa when I was 4 years old.

I will give you that this arguably counts as a legitimate connection to the team. Which seems to be the exception among the Louisiana born and bred Cowboy "fans."

I cannot even begin to tell you how lame you are. You'll recant this on your deathbed if you want to have any chance at all of getting into Heaven.

what about me xiv?
I was born in Louisiana (actually in Natchez, MS since thre was no hospital in Vidalia). Lived there nine years. Moved to Mississippi for seven years. Moved back to Louisiana (Farmerville) for the last three years of HS and six years of college. Moved to Dallas in 1983 and have lived here since.
I pull for the Cowboys except for when they play the Saints(I always pull for the Saints whoever they play).
I pull for the Mavericks (started going to their games in 83 & started working them in 86). I pulled for the Hornets once they beat Dallas last season in the playoffs.

Am I hellbound for not being a Hornets fan.

I await your judgement.

I still remember last December when LeBron was so messed up from celebrating his birthday in NOLA the night before that Peja was able to guard him all night

Sorry, brother.

On another note, I lived in Farmerville twice't. Moved from there right before I started kindergarten at Rocky Branch. Was there for a month and then I was off to Amarillo for a year or two.
