I’ve killed many a deer up at Vienna. My step dad had a good cut of land in that area.

Solid. I went to LSU, always wanted to from the time I could say the letters. However, as a father now to an 11-year-old girl, I’d be just fine if she chose Tech over LSU. That’s no knock on the school, but Baton Rouge has a LONG way to go to restore trust.

Eh I don’t enjoy Ruston. But they have added a few nice to really nice business. However most tech grads I know are try hard douches. Every bit of the Napoleon syndrome as ULL.

I love the state of Louisiana and I think every resource should be given to LSU to be the flagship school in the state.

That said, Louisiana Tech is where my children will go to school. There is no way I can send them to LSU with the condition of the school right now.

Ruston and Tech offer the best collegiate experience in the state right now.

Pull away athletics from LSU and the campus and facilities are crumbling. It was embarrassing when we took the tour. Top it off the with local community crime and it is a no go for us.

Really (no sarcasm here, I'm just kind of surprised)? LA Tech always had a reputation of being a regional commuter school. It seems more a town that happens to have a college rather than being a college town.

Yeah That’s s very 1990’s mindset Baw & reeks of someone that’s spent ZERO time there. It’s quite the opposite now actually thanks to the Mayor.

This is interesting, please elaborate.
Nothing wrong with having pride in your school man. Tech & ULL will never be remotely close to LSU’s athletic success, budget, etc., and IMHO, that’s cool with me. I don’t dislike LSU, but that doesn’t mean I have to support them either. I don’t understand how you can be so passionate about a school that you didn’t attend.
For the size school, Tech has done a good job building for the future & is a great alternative for those that don’t want to follow the purple & gold herd.
Is that Napoleon syndrome?

Well shite maybe we don’t know each other. Anyway, I’m the sucker at Thomas Feed buying $250 of corn and bran every weekend from now until December to watch the turkeys and coons eat it all with a few spikes mixed in. Come say hi
