WM played Curtis earlier in the year. It was 13-5 WM before Curtis scored 5 in the 7th to make it 13-10 final. I'd love to watch a series between those two teams. Great hitters up and down those lineups.
WM played Central earlier in the year as well. Sophomore Chase Dejean threw a 1 hitter and WM won 9-0. Slade didn't play in that game. I think WM has too much firepower in this one. It's baseball though and anyone can win 1 game. Kimbrell pitched for Central, giving up 7. Monte didn't give up a run in 2 innings. Might be who Central goes with tomorrow.

Curtis also added a transfer that I don't believe was eligible at the beginning of the year. But is now. Yes they hit 1-9.

WM didn't vote against the split, so they only get participation trophies.

Yes, WM's vote was the biggest pussy vote of them all.

Wasn't wm one of how ones hat simply did not vote?

Last year they voted "none of the above."
5. None of the Above: Every school who voted None of the Above, voted to keep Booker’s split proposal (football, basketball, baseball and softball) in place.
WM voted to not play Curtis or Catholic this weekend. The state championship is at 3PM.

5A private and public champions should play each other after this. Just go play on a nearby field for the hell of it.
Sure, just let the public schools get some good recruiting in first and let's do it.

Id say 5A, Div I, and Div II are the only legit state championships with this watered down BS. 4A is a total joke with less than 10 total programs that are decent without the private schools. Salmen made it to the semis with a losing regular season record and it's not cause they played a tough schedule.

There were two separate rules applied to public and private dealing with this. This was the issue.

3-0 Neville really quick on Cullen bunt. He's at 3rd 1 out.

Sure, first they have to sit out a year or move to a home in that school district. Private schools have to do neither. They can just play immediately. And thus the split.
You aren't eligible to play at a private your first year either if you are out of their zone

Actually...
Private schools have attendance zones assigned to them by the LHSAA and anyone who doesn't live in the zone must sit a calendar year.
Public school athletes RARELY must sit a year because they HAVE TO live in the correct zone in order to attend that school.
And thus the reason for the split...allegedly

Again two separate rules. They all need to be the same if they want to play in the same state tournament at the end of the year.

St Louis over Teurlings 3-2 after 2

And what are the private school zones. The entire city of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette. Nice fertile recruiting grounds. For the rural private schools their zones are the entire parish the school is located in.
Actually...
You're incorrect again.
Private schools are assigned the same attendance of the public school zone they are located in. So the schools address is like a home address. Whatever school the address would belong to is what zone the LHSAA assigns.
Now, in areas like Recovery school districts, the school attendance zones that are drawn by the local school boards are bigger because the school boards are governing less schools.
Also for parishes like Rapides or Pointe Coupee where there is open enrollment or only one public school for the entire parish, then yes, those private schools would use the whole parish.
There are some exceptions for Catholic school students who attend Catholic elementary or middle schools but do not have a Catholic high school in their zone.
