Jewett sucks. His handling of the bullpen in that middle game against Fullerton was embarrassing. He shouldn't be given a 3rd season if this season goes how I think it will.

Oh he’s getting a 3rd year

Just checked RPI and didnt realize how back LSU and SLUs was. LSU will climb during conference play but SLU needs a 12 game streak to move into the top 45.

Well when you schedule LSU, ULL, and Tulane in the midweek, you don’t expect them all to tank your RPI.

Losing to Sacred Heart will be an albatross too, that will tank the RPI all season.

Any number you get right now isn't going to mean anything. You have to collect way more data for the numbers to be valid. As teams continue playing, the better teams will amass high win totals. So you could be sitting in the 100s right now with a record of 8-5, but by the end of the season 3 of those early wins could provide 120 Opponents Wins to your formula.

Conference schedules usually drastically change a team's RPI. LSU is at 129 right now but they're almost guaranteed a top-50 RPI just because they're going to play 5 or 6 40-something win teams for 3 games and then a bunch of 35+ win teams.

We made really bad hire. It was obvious early last year, and it's not getting any better.
Dannen made 2 major hires right after he took the job....but what he hasn't done is any firings, and there are a few that are necessary.

LSU needs to get rid of Marinara or whatever his name is. Everyone knows he's a jackass. He will do to LSU what Andy Lopez did to UF - stall the program out. Time to bring back Skip, one of the best ever.

It really sickens me that Tech lost yesterday... especially how we lost.

Yeahhhhh and that’s a bad Little Rock team

Inconsistent bats are going to be an issue all season it seems

Talbot is actually a baw from down the bayou around the outskirts of Thibodeaux.
But yeah, he’d do great in north Louisiana

I’m sure we’d miss him but wish him the best of luck if some lucky north Louisiana team needs his services

SLU with the 11-5 win over Moo State tonight. Second straight night of outstanding pitching. After giving up 5 in the first, Gaconi retired 17 straight, and got the complete game without giving up another run.

I looked at y’alls schedule earlier today and tonight was a huge game for y’all. HUGE win and that can’t be understated.

With their out of conference play Southeastern has given themselves a real shot at an at-large bid if they don’t do shoot themselves in the foot in Southland Conference play.

Don’t get a big head though, at this exact moment last year, Louisiana Tech was in legitimate “potential regional hosts” talk. We didn’t even make the tournament.

Pulling for the Hammond baws though
