Bruh….there’s ZERO reasons for Tech fans to be jealous of ULL. If your RCAF wants to pay top dollar on HC salaries…great! Y’all talked heaping piles of trash when Y’all overpaid for HUD too.
After the Smedium debacle, I’m happy that Y’all were able to recruit a good HC. Legit In-state competition will only benefit both universities.

Don’t get me wrong, I am far more happy….ecstatic….about all the fantastic news happening in Cajun Nation, the raises, renovation, national attention, etc., but seeing all the hate and jealousy from some of these goofballs in reaction to it all really adds to it. Great times indeed.

Getting LSU alumn, fans and local successful businesses to fully buy into the TAF was huge.
As a Cajuns fan, whose former university President refused to allow an RCAF every time he was approached with the idea since the middle 80s, I’m jealous. There were even successful business owners who were USL alumn that were more than willing to “spread the love” back then (obviously would have still given more to TAF, but at least we could have benefited some too), but they got aggravated with the Martin Hall bullshite and took all their love to LSU. Can’t say I blame them.

I think its important to keep a good assistant salary, so great job there. Staff is imortant.
But I don’t see how this is supposed to be a slight. The Cajuns are paying over double for their coach that Tech is? Okay? I’m on the other end of the ideology I guess, because I appreciate Tech’s ability to not spend, spend, spend when they don’t need to. Though some would argue they need to start looking at a change… Anyway, Its not as bad at CUSA/Belt/MAC levels, but I despise big-money coach deals. Especially when they turn south and the school is stuck with paying an obscene buyout for a bad coach.
I have no idea what it’ll be like with the new AD coming in and getting his hands on things though.
