The local Mellow Mushroom (when that was still a hole in the wall, pirate ship company) sold t-shirts that said "I love Cumming."
ETA:Mellow Mushroom is the shite! We eat at the one in Peachtree City quite a bit.

KC deserves something, whether it's NBA or NHL, IMO. (not sure if they could support both). T-Mobile Center is a top notch arena in a great part of town. I think their fans would support either league well.
They have MLB, NFL, and the MLS. Not to mention the three time NCAA champion Jayhawks. They’re good.
Again, give it to Quebec City, Hartford, or throw in Salt Lake City.

Much context, such argument.

You talking about Atlanta?

He said good teams. Obviously not Atlanta.

Why don't you want an NHL team here?
Would not go.
So it’s just another traffic clusterf$&@ in a city/state with planners that have their heads buried up their asses.

Planners are ignored by politicians who are bankrolled by highway contractors.

We are talking about Forsyth County. Not the city of Atlanta.
Apples and oranges.

Hockey is a beautiful game. Shame that you'd miss out.

Ya, I didn’t mean to crap on planners.
Forsyth is definitely not Atlanta.
But the whole state is Atlanta’s bitch and state government would be involved as well.
Forsyth politicians would line their pockets from multiple sources.

I was born in Canada and played as a kid. Been to many games.
Watch all the playoffs.
Let me back off a bit. If someone gave me free tickets, and it was convenient, I’d go.

Fair enough.
I'd love to have a team back here.

Hunt said he doesn't want a team.
quote:
One drawback is a lack of a clearly interested ownership group. Clark Hunt, owner of the Chiefs, previously expressed interest in owning an NHL team. However, Hunt is no longer entertaining that possibility.

While other sports teams, such as the former Washington Redskins, used a name and logo that was based purely on a racist trope, the Blackhawks have tried their best to always show respect to the heritage their team came from.
This is why I agree with the team that the logo should stay the same. Perhaps I’m a bit biased, having been a ‘Hawks fan for so long, but leaving my bias out of the argument, the Blackhawks have done a lot to show their respect for the team’s heritage and to hold up the numerous Native American communities throughout Chicago.
For as long as I can remember they've always had a native american veteran on the ice with other service members during the national anthem, and have recently gone way more heavily into the history and acknowledgement of other tribes and the whole "we're on your territory" thing. I get it...it was likely do all that or lose the name and/or logo, which would have been a travesty.
If you are so inclined:

Hartford
Terrible idea. The place is a dump, not much of a population base, and there's a reason they lost the team before. Not to mention there are 4 other teams within a short distance...Rangers, Isles, Devils, and Bruins.

Florida could use another NHL team especially the way the state has been growing. Jacksonville would be ideal.
