@ProFootballTalk

Per source NFL has decided against issuing a statement tonight acknowledging the erroneous non-call in the Rams-Saints game.

Low integrity MSB posters rather troll saints fans than admit it was a terrible call. Pretty sad imo

If they did, it invalidates their NFC champ and potential super bowl champ.

Would look bad for their pr, so theyre just hoping everyone forgets instead!

Edit: it would show the nfl openly admits this is their invalid nfc champ. The fans already know it, no changing that

I just want the referees' names to be public.

If an irrelevant player made a game changing play his name would be plastered everywhere.

Yet they wonder why fans are pissed at them all the time. Zero consistency

It's already invalid in the eyes of the people who watched the game

I was watching the game with a Rams fan and he even admits the Saints were robbed

Supposedly there is disagreement about how to word the admission.

fricking NFL man. Can't even get a useless apology right.

Which at worst should only delay the admission

No one needs an immediate response. But brushing it under the rug doesn't help their credibility

Apparently, the powers-that-be are haggling over the language of the statement that would admit the mistake. The haggling will continue into Monday, at a minimum.

If the league hopes to retain any credibility whatsoever, it will acknowledge the mistake ASAP and commit to making changes aimed at preventing such mistakes in the future. As the clock ticks, it will only get harder for the league to clean up a mess that its own substandard procedures for spotting and fixing obvious errors has created.

Lol. This league is a sham

This is the first year I won't be watching the superbowl

Was hoping for a good AFC championship game and more of the same terrible officiating

I was told the NFL already said they were wrong.

So much for that...

Roger Goodell is the most incompetent commissioner. He mishandles everything. He has done so much damage to the NFL. From the domestic abuse, to the kneeling and now this. Dude is a fricking clown who needs a new PR guy.

Roger has screwed up so many things. Domestic/social issues, players, refs, fan relations. Except $$ so he stays. End all.

frick him. He is a dictator enabled by the owners. As long as they are making $$ he’ll be around so yay.

The zebras were handed their marching orders. It wasnt supposed to be on such a blatant infraction that the league takes this much heat for
