re: LLWS where are they now?

Look at the middle infielders on these teams. They aren’t 5’7 140lb kids. They all play majors ball. You saying they won’t play 5a high school ball in Ascension unless they grow to be the size of middle linebackers? Unless the big kids on this team ends up being 6’7 260, they won’t have the same size and strength advantage as they have now. That’s my point. Half the kids in little league have hit puberty already and the other half haven’t. That small, prepubescent kid that can stay on the field with a kid that has a mustache at 12 is going to be a player at some point. College isn’t the end goal of 93% of players, remember?

The players must play little league to be eligible for post-season play. They cannot simply decide to tryout for the all-star team after their travel season is done. They have to play a little league regular season. I would say 99% of the kids on the all-star team representing the state of Louisiana the past 5 years have played both little league and travel. Every once in a while you might have 1 kid that does not play travel as well, but it's extremely rare.
