The bad thing is that Hawaii already beat Michigan. Now one loss to a team they already beat will put Hawaii in the consolation game instead of the championship

yup, so dumb.

georgia went 1-1 against tennessee in the regional and that cost them a spot in williamsport, for example.

you get to save pitchers for one day and that's the only advantage? weak. if it's a double elimination tournament, you should have to lose twice.

id be fine with this only changing in the finals if both teams are undefeated.

Completely agree. They also need to extend it a day so a team that sweeps through the tourney will have their ace back for the championship. The championship should be best vs. best with ace vs. ace. Gavin Weir deserves to pitch that championship game if they get there.

I like the strategy involved with it now.

It really sucks to be Texas East. They had a great shot to win the whole thing

It sucks for all 5 of those teams. Even the ones that probably wouldn't have made it. It is special to play in the LLWS regionals and even more special to play in the world series.

I do think that if this was a normal year and only one team came out of the SW region that it would have been Texas East. It is really a shame how their run was halted by a bullshite lie. And I am a Louisiana fan

If Ohio had lost on a 3 run bomb after that ump didn't call strike 3 on a ball across the middle of the plate on what should of been the 2nd out, I think I would of blown a gasket. But they didn't, so go South Dakota

I saw Lafayette 8 times. Few thoughts.

Nick Briown - lanky left-hander with above average velocity and a sharp breaking pitch. Has a sweet swing with the power to hit OF gaps. Also a top notch 1B/LF.

Isaac Boudreaux. - fiery competitor who is already 6-foot-0, 170 lbs. Should develop into an overpowering pitcher. When his curve is on, he’s almost impossible to hit.

Landyn Craft - exceptional skills at shortstop with a cannon arm. Dangerous leader off man at the plate who routinely hits blue dart line drives. Looks like he will be a natural football star, as well. Hit .375 at the LLWS.

Cole Schexnaider - like Craft, he’s a defensive wizard who gobbles up grounders while often playing all the way up on the grass. As a pitcher, he throws strikes and has ice in his veins.

Eli Clark - covers tremendous ground in RF with a slick glove. Clutch hitter at the plate, too.

Sawyer Watkins - hustles hard behind the plate, effectively frames pitches and has phenomenal speed for a catcher.

Landon Granger - gutsy kid who took a 70 mph fastball directly to the face in the region tournament vs Texas West. Despite breaking multiple bones in his face, he came back quickly and pitched and hit at the World Series.

Aiden LeBouef - left handed swinger (throws right) who had gane winning hits vs East Bank and South Lake Charles.

Cooper Hawkins - OF with a rifle arm who has the power to bat clean up & the wheels to steal bases.

that was me that said that game was "meaningless" but he's referring to a different guy saying california was going to win it all

ive been on hawaii the whole time as the champion.

and i stand by the fact that the south dakota manager made an enormous mistake not taking weir out of that game to keep him eligible for sunday. they have no shot.

Like dukke v, I’m sticking with Michigan.

Their pitching strategy baffles me, however.

Ethan Van Belle is their ace.

Seems like Cameron Thorning is the closer, but he’s only thrown 1.2 innings and I think he’s the second best arm.

The other big kid, Furkas, won vs Texas West yesterday.

I’ve gotten the impression that Surma and Ulin could each be their no. 2 starter. To me, they have average stuff.

I'm here. The California team won 7 games in 8 days to come out of the loser Brackett in the state championship round. Plus they beat Eastlake(Chula Vista,CA) twice in a row to win socal state and those Chula Vista teams are incredible.

So I really liked their chances. Oh well.

Damn good day in sports. I have 2 TV's in the living room and need more

I remember speaking with you about St. Frances (MD) in the past on the recruiting board. They are in a battle 14-14 with St. Thomas Aquinas on ESPN.

SD made it interesting. Had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th but couldn't get them across. 5-2 Ohio

Texas West losing 7-0 and they’re still raving about the catcher

They are eliminated and they gave her an entire segment before the Hawaii - Michigan game. They will probably work her into the championship game tomorrow.
