Curtis. PBS doesn't have the DL to stop Curtis.

Curtis would destroy pretty much anyone in the state. They'd beat everyone in the state this year.

Honestly don't think so, nobody other than Neville is going to keep up with Karr.

Neville is overrated this year, I am predicting quarters for them, no rematch.

With the projected power rankings WM would play Captain Shreve, Dutchtown/St Amant winner, Jesuit/Pineville, St Paul's/Live Oak winner to get to Rummel in the semifinals. The biggest obstacle I foresee is the possibility of WM having to travel to NOLA three weeks in a row to play Jesuit, Rummel, and the championship. In a vacuum I don't see any of those teams keeping WM from the semifinals. All bets are off in the playoffs though.

I was raised to despise all things Neville. Neville is far from overrated. If McCarty puts Hootie in the backfield with Diarse, Neville will win every game by 4 touchdowns...even against Karr. Those 2 could contribute at LSU right now. Yes I know how talented Karr is this year as well as next year. That's just how good those kids are though. Hootie looks like Patrick Peterson NOW. They'll put him on Speedy every play on D. Neville has some legit weapons other than Diarse too. Really don't see them losing unless one of those two get hurt.

Rummel hasn't won anything. Im not sitting here talking them up like these BR folks, either.

In one breath you rag them, you say the catholic league hasn't won a title in years.... which seems like you say every day.

In another breath you praise Roth, you say when they get beat, its by better teams.

I think the Catholic league has had a ton more success than any 5A BR school in the last 15 years by just about every measure.

Catholic fricked up two fourth and longs in the final minutes of their game versus Parkview that let PBS win. Curtis would jizz all over Parkview if they played.

Karr is one big fricking team man. I saw them destroy 35 last week. Standish Dobard is one huge fricker, but Karr had a guy even bigger than him! It blew my mind. That DE #1 has to be like 6'8 280!

don't bring up the no title for the catholic league until some of their fans start talking like the dome is their home....

not ragging just looking at it/them from a statewide perspective.

If you are counting shaw - absolutely.... thanks to judge parkers ruling highest classification hasn't had a prayer at a state title in 30 plus years..

and yeh a lot of folks in BR think catholic, central and d town are 5A royalty.. I am not one of them... do I think one of them has a legit shot this year.... yes... but I thought that in 07 and 96 as well...

This is pretty accurate. The best area teams over the last 15 years consistently have been Catholic, St. Amant and Dutchtown. Neither have done anything. Dutchtown just flops in playoffs normally. Times are changing though...

and if D williams stays healthy and Rummel doesn't get in a turnover fest or horrible officiating crew.... they should bring home a trophy...
