I totally agree. Oliver stood on the sidelines and didn’t move most of the night. No encouragement, no anger, no adjustments, nothing. He barely spoke to anyone during the game unless it was on the headset. At halftime, he walked over and leaned on the fence and didn’t do shite. My buddy commented that he never seen a HC act like he didn’t want to be there. It’s one thing to delegate responsibility to your assistants, it’s another thing to do nothing when the wheels are falling off during the game. Hell, I would have been happy if he torn into the refs arse just to show any emotion. I know it’s not his style but for fricks sake, show those boys you care

We were talking about that in the stands and we do pretty much every Friday night. He does nothing. He’s totally useless. As are a few other coaches.

You must have not watched St Amant in the 90's.

Yes I did. Larry Stewart ran that offense perfectly. This crap we got now is nowhere near what they used to be.

It was the veer, 2 plays. Right or left lil Larry just had to be the fastest player on the field.

ST. Amant needs a lot of work and it starts with the coach. He did nothing to help those boys. He didn’t even talk to them. He stood by at halftime with his foot on an ice chest and drinking a coke. He’s a disgrace. The playbook consists of three plays. Looks like tecmo bowl’s playbooks. Sad to see how far the program has fallen.

He’s always been like that. It’s more of his assistants who do the coaching but St Amant had no chance from the get go. I don’t think coaching had anything to do with what happened last night. Catholic is just light years ahead of St Amant in talent, coaching, and execution. There’s only so much you can do when you have an offensive line who can’t block

But don’t act like St Amant was ever elite.

It will take a lot to make St Amant an elite football team. They’ll have a team that has potential to make the 3rd round every now and then but it will be a while before St Amant is an elite program and they can hang with the big boys

Just wait til Prairieville High gets built. More dilution.

For those who are unaware, Terrebone is for real. East St. John has a damn good front 7 and may cause problems for them up front next week. Terrebone has the best skill players possibly in the entire state on offense, these guys are for real.

Not a fan, just an outside impartial judge.

Have seen this team twice in person this year, three times last year. From the River area so I literally have no bias for them. You would have an extremely difficult time finding a more dynamic backfield than Douglass, James and Ward.

east bank of ascension has never really been a statewide football power... with one, two or three schools... save for the brief run after katrina

which is puzzling given the socio demographics are very similar to the west bank of NO.

They got a few of their starters back, amazing how much of a difference they’re making..

And I like the way they’re staying under the radar...

Times Picayune didn’t doesn’t even rank them, but Jesuit was..

maybe it used to be that way, but Ascension might be whiter now than it was and the West Bank blacker
