Don't look forward to it. Apparently starting RB #3 (Khalil?), is transferring to Parkview and starts Monday. Just a rumor my cousin told me, not confirmed yet. If he does, it's a gigantic blow to CHS and a HUGE pickup for Parkview.

What?! I'm gonna have to talk to him. But even if he does, the backup RB is pretty good himself.

ETA: Did Thomas play tonight? And any word on how the new QB did?

Yeah, I went to the game. Thomas had a hell of a game. Was very solid all night. The new QB is obviously now solidified as the starter. He played one hell of a game and easily beat out the previous starter.

Man, I'll be sad to see Thomas go if that's true. Good to see that they have found a QB though. Hopefully they can win a few more to make this season somewhat meaningful.

Try to find out the backstory from some current students. I don't want to post anything on here, but from what I was told, it's an ugly situation.

Without their starting running back they don't have much of a shot.

Some of my friends that used to play football know him pretty well so we'll try to figure it out.

As I said, they have a good backup. Not as good as Thomas, but is still solid.

somehow i feel these should be in the Dome and Tulane at Tad Gormley

for this game i think it's right to say jesuit is a slight favorite, but having a clean sweep of 13 analysts pick them on sportsnola.com? if that's any indication, frick the game, i'm hitting the gretna heritage festival

i'll root for them every other game but not this week and not vs. rummel

Still can't believe Catholic High lost to Teirlings after slapping around Notre Dame last week. STM-CHS would be a solid game.

We'll see if Ouachita is legit next week. West Monroe's offensive line has started to gel and they've started looking like WM the last 3 weeks. I don't like looking at what team A did to team B meaning team C would win, but Ouachita's loss came at home to Neville. WM beat Neville in the jamboree and beat the shite out of Bastrop at Bastrop. Neville then went to Bastrop and was only up 10-6 at the half before winning 23-6 last night. Ouachita better score a ton in the first quarter like they did against Evangel to have a chance.

Anybody have the final score of the UHS/Episcopal game?

We really beat them down in the second half. Kneeled down twice at the half yard line at the end. They have a lot of kids playing both ways, and Mahaffey finally quit trying to force his cute little passing and spread play and played smashmouth in the second half and wore them down. And we had several of our top players miss portions of the game with injuries. Plus Mahaffey insists on trying to get Manny Miles (9th grader) involved in the game, and he's not ready for primetime. Guess he's trying to make sure Les watches our film.

EHS scored off a turnover on our 5 yard line, and their only real offense otherwise was Dellocono chunking rainbows to Bridgewater. That kid (Bridgewater) is a beast on the football field. Trent was out watching, so I guess he is still recruiting him, but since it looks like he quit growing, his future might be becoming the next Jimmy Graham. IDK who will throw to him next year though, as our JV dominated theirs.

He will have to sit a year if a private to private transfer. Doubt he would want that.

Ive been watching Manny play for years (my stepson played with him for the Prairieville Broncos). It's GOOD to get Manny varsity experience. I will certainly be a D1 prospect at QB in a few years.

Are you sure? I thought that only applied to public to private?

Could he get a waiver for dropping classifications or some bullshite like that?

Private to public is the one that can be done with just LHSSA clearing it, must live in the public's attendance zone. Private to private and keeping current eligibility is very, very rare.
