Where is everyone who was questioning BM being ranked 19th preseason by the Times?

BM has had the top 8th grade team the last few seasons... now those guys are sophomores and juniors and starting to be main contributors to this team... they're not slouches in the least

Acadiana is down, but still dangerous. Definitely not a matchup i would want.

when the Wrecking Rams needed a trick play to beat the Lafayette Mighty Lions... I knew something was amiss w/ Acadiana

this doesn't seem to be their year... but they'll be back sooner rather than later

Acadiana had, at one time, 4 starters out on the OLine. If they are healthy at the end of the year and playing well then it would be a tough draw for a higher seed.

W... T... F...?

yet again the Crusaders of Brother Martin are the most overrated team so far in this poll... because they have that one OL going to LSU.

I don't really understand it either. Clapp isn't even going to be on the team next year. Not sure what is drawing the hype.

Yeah. I never get things like this.

BM's been a realistic state contender once this millenium, in 2008...

they were 4-7, 1-4 in the Catholic League last year with the only district win over Shaw... and people wonder why it's called Catholic League bias

I would say 2004, but.. hey...we still friends..

quote:

no... you mean a year where they were 7-4, 2-3 in the Catholic League, a 24 seed falling to Fontainebleau in round 2?

this isn't the hoops top 50

BM ranked ahead of Aug gtfo!

If BM makes it past the first round I would be impressed. The are singlehandedly the school that does the least with the most in football in LA.

CLHS lol

I said that jokingly but man it's the truth. It shows on the field. South Lafourche just gets up to play CL. CL players just treat it as slightly more than another game and that's not going to cut it. I watched the game film last night and we really had only two maybe three kids that matched the intensity of most of the SL players.

We had absolutely no problem containing and tackling Xavier Lewis for ESJ last week, this week we couldn't tackle Harvey Allen for anything. Harvey is a good player but he's no Xavier Lewis, he just played with more heart than we did.

Congrats SL.

I'm looking at BM's schedule... getting past Aug today was big... b/c they have Holy Cross next (who just got throttled by Jesuit)... followed by Shaw

BM gets passed those 2 still undefeated (which at this point you have to think they should)... that game against Jesuit week 9 will be huge... esp. if Jesuit beats Rummel the week prior

then what could that set up week 10... I don't even want to think about that

I agree that Rummel is the team to beat in the Catholic League. I am just pointing out that no one thought we would be any good.

anyone who disagrees is just silly... there's a reason they are a 2 time defending state champ

BM showed they have the talent if they had a chance to meld it together (like w/ one consistent coaching staff)

they have that now... BM should make a good run in this division playoff

My friend said Ehret turned it over a bunch... Chalmette leads 3-0 at the half on a 43 yard field goal as time expired and we get it to begin the second half
