They jambed at Tech in 98 and it was 14-14.

Just one of a million reasons why that 5A state championship game in 99 was so hyped and eagerly anticipated. But, I'm obviously talking about meeting in the dome for all the tostitos/sugar in 98. Not a half of jamboree ball.

Possibly a top 10 game of the year. Jesuit gets that kick and not the doink and they win

I just got home from STM/Neville game. It was one of the best HS football games I've seen in awhile. STM looked severely overmatched at the beginning and Neville's RB had 180 yards and 2 TDs on 2 carries with 7 min left in 1Q. For some reason they didn't give him the ball much more in the first half but he had another 50 yard or so TD in 2Q. STM settled in and somehow got it to half down 21-14 when it felt like Neville should've been up by a lot.

STM played great in the 2nd half and looked like the better team. Walker Howard made some really good plays and I was most impressed by his scrambling and running ability. In 4Q he made several game saving plays escaping sacks and finding a guy open downfield. The RB for Neville was the best player on the field for most of the game but Howard showed why there's a lot of hype for him in the 2nd half. I'm glad Neville lost but I think they would've won if they gave it to the RB #3 more. He had almost 300 yards at half and couldn't have had much more than 10 carries if that. Overall a great game and I think both teams will make a run at the end of the year but that's not really going out on a limb or anything.

I watched the neville broadcast on youtube

howard is the man
neville has a ton of CFB talent
they should have kept giving it to Arjay Allen, kid is a good one
neville played pretty dirty, kept ripping off STM helmets

one play at the end, neville kid rips off howards helmet after the whistle, another neville kid picks it up and puts it behind the back of the endzone way off the field

monroe assoc is awful if that was a big game crew

great HSFB game

I watched Catholic play a couple weeks ago. They're good but they would get run off the field against those WM and Evangel teams. It would be over by halftime

Final score
Kenner Discovery 34
Morgan City 27
Was a really good game, KDHSA led 27-13 in the 3rd and Morgan City came back to tie it up with about 5 minutes to go. Then Kenner drove down the field and scored on about a 40 yard run on a QB keeper with around 3 minutes left. MC got the ball and crossed midfield, but on a 2nd down, they sacked the QB for a 20+ yard sack. MC couldn’t recover and turned the ball over on downs.
Solid effort by Kenner Discovery considering this was our season opener and MC already has two games under their belt.

Neville is underrated in that

They struggled at times with Jena last week and escaped a close game against Ruston. I’d say they’re a bit overrated.

The #4 Kid on GK impressed me. Played both sides of the ball and was playing hard into the 4th QTR

Catholic played Evangel’s best team didn’t get run off the field. Time has embellished the legacies of those old ECA teams.
