Central @ De La Salle is on the new LHSAA Network app now

Apparently Centrals starting QB is out with an injury due to a wreck last night.

8-0 St. Fred at half. It’s sloppy and St. Fred’s is taking advantage of errors. There have been lots of bad snaps and fumbles.

It really sucks that we have to rely on out of state publications for our high school rankings. I wish Louisiana had better coverage of its high school sports than they currently do. No offense clean

St. Frederick held on for an 8-6 finish to start the Bilderback era off with a victory. Loyola seemed to grab all the momentum in the second half, but they fumbled the ball again with a little over 4 minutes to go in the game. They were driving too.

With the weather, the team that could take care of the ball was going to win, and that’s what happened. It was a good test for St. Frederick since they had serious snap and fumble issues last season.

West Monroe has not been relevant in the playoffs for years. Amazing how a school with that enrollment and great resources could be the 4th best team in their own district.

Then why are people relying on and posting rankings from cal prep and SI?

Because the LSWA is the good ole boys… calpreps is a straight math formula and SI is Mr. Clean whom we trust more

This is the Cane’s Classic series, I wonder if Todd paid to have it move to the Dome.. I’m sure it’s a lot more expensive than the Shrine..

More details..

Crescent City Sports

Persistent rain has left the grass playing surface at the Shrine on Airline in bad shape, precipitating the move.

According to LSED spokesman Mike Hoss, the Superdome was made available as a precautionary measure for player and fan safety to allow the games to be played.

The LSED oversees both the Shrine on Airline and the Caesars Superdome, among other facilities.

The John Curtis and Rummel football games Friday will be played at the Caesars Superdome.

The teams moved their games from the Shrine on Airline because of inclement weather and wet conditions on the grass field.

John Curtis will face Rabun Gap-Nacoochee of Georgia in the first game at 5 p.m. with Rummel and Lafayette Christian to follow.

Fans must park in Garage 5 and enter through Gate F. The cost to park is $10. Tickets will be available through the Superdome box office for $15. Admission is good for both games.
