Boys Basketball can be picked apart all day long with Dynasty's and you forgot the biggest one thats quasi private.. Southern Lab but maybe its just in the water up there because Scotlandville has been dominating recently. Zwolle has championships all over the place in Class B..

Girls Softball is riddled with dynasty's from the public sector.

a public school won a title with 2 starters living with a huge supporter of the school....

Maybe they can just add a rule where private schools can only use players that come from the public school district where they are located.

I say let the public schools pull players from anywhere in their city. That'll even out the playing field.

No, but when you can recruit the best players and offer only them scholarships, it becomes one.

Huh? That best player is still paying the same as the public guy.

Haha I'm gonna get bashed but WTF. A few years ago while working on a house in Edgard a SUV drove up and dropped two Lutcher football players off. Lady told me that they were her sons and she sends them to Lutcher to get a better chance to play big time football. Lutcher is in another parish on the other side of the river. I asked her if she was afraid of the school board finding out. She laughed and say those were not her first children to go to Lutcher.

The privates get around this using scholarships.

Which ones are giving athletic scholarships?

Waiting patiently.

You know that those evil private schools are dolling out athletic scholarships for cross country, wrestling, and soccer. It's why they dominate those sports.

Country Day basketball is giving scholarships... no way all those college players could randomly manage to afford that school IMO

let's say Thon Maker becomes an NBA star... will they retire his jersey for playing 4 games there?

What's hysterical about all of this is that the last schools to get busted for this stuff are all public schools.

It's really, really sad that this is going on and there are no reasonable minds on the public school side with any power to stop it.

Do you really equate anecdotal stories from a lady where you were "working on house" a few years ago, which even if true, likely involves someone bending or breaking the rules, with a situation where it is perfectly legal to get kids from anywhere you want?

The fairest way is to have a draft for each Parish during the summer. If you want to play football, you enter the draft. You must play for who you are drafted by or not play. That way all the teams can have equal chances at going to the dome.

"If Booker's proposal is approved during the first round of voting, none of the other four proposals will be voted on."

I didnt go back and read. But if hasnt been stated:

1. Classes will probably split. If first vote doesnt go through, many more will be proposed. All believe it still wont solve anything. Metro/Rural proposal being pulled off.

2. If officials raise doesnt get passed, they will not be officiating games tomorrow night (homecoming game for my school since we dont have football). This is the most outrageous.

3. Bonine on hot seat. He said last year "give me one year to fix this". And threatening "if officials raise doesnt pass yall can cancel baseball and softball season. Basically holding gun to the heads of principals.

Go watch a MS Private School league football game. The competition is awful and a joke.

Then why are they dominating in championships against the public schools. And if so bad then why the crying. Last I saw in public private play in Mississippi the private schools have won more than they've lost.

The record of championships by private schools in Louisiana that switched to lhsaa is pretty strong across the board and your statement is shite.
