They did a good bit of the quick screens to the WRs in the flat.....but they weren't gaining many yards. Hahnville DB also absolutely lit up one of their players on a swing pass in the 3rd. They stopped after that.

I guess with no Fournette leading the offense, St. Aug's run is over...?

Make that 31-10.

If this holds, Zachary goes to Dutchtown next week for the 2nd time this year. FYI, Zachary QB Lindsey Scott went to Dutchtown as a freshman.

Scott preliminary numbers 306 passing 6 TDs 154 yds rushing.

If I ever see Acadiana and that rolling start again it will be too soon. That shite is a bitch to deal with.

Still the score doesn't show it, but the defense played much better than I thought they would considering we play a 3-3 with 5 Dbs. They got no help from the offense though. First drive of the game CL spread them out and drove down with ease with a good mix of jet sweeps, dives and a couple deep passes. Then then the rest of the game decided to bunch all our receivers up within 5 yards of the oline and try to play power football, .

1st down Dive
2nd down Counter
3rd down spread everybody out and get the ball batted down at the line or keep everybody bunched and run a screen.

Acadiana didn't have to drive but 35 yards for the majority of their scores.

At least it won't be as bad as they late 90s/early 2000s. Going into the playoffs ranked #1 or #2 and getting knocked out in the first round.

Theo Babineaux still rings in my ear haha can't remember what year it was but St. Amant was undefeated and Carencro came in and whipped us 46-6.
