How bad does WM want Alex to upset Zachary? Cuz brew just doesn’t lose to WM.

I think this question has been answered in this thread. Broncos will be back next year in a year that actually doesn't have an asterisk (hopefully). WM gets a break from daddy Chris Hilton.

When was the last WM win over Acadiana? Independence Stadium in 05?

It was actually a shutout win in the playoffs 24-0 in 2012. I think it was the last time the teams played each other.

How many times have we played since then? Twice? I honestly don’t know. 2nd round in 07 I think and once in the Dome is all I can remember, maybe twice. It’s not as though we have a 14 year losing streak to them.

Yea played in the dome in 2010 and acadiana won, then acadiana played in WM in 2012 and lost 24-0 or something like that.

Wear Monroe actually has a winning record against Acadiana since 2001, 4-2. Acadiana is 5-2 against Zachary just in the last 10 years.

The main reason Evangel is no longer the undisputed #1 program in the state, and top 10 nationally goes back to the drama that included Johnny Booty being fired. John David Booty becomes the first HS player to leave a full year early for USC and his dad goes over to help kickstart Calvary. More than half of that base they had established for families and their sons that were past, present, and here we are in the future going to be a part of that program have gone over to Calvary. Evangel/Calvary is a Shreveport area split squad now essentially. And more and more have gone to Calvary, while the resentment is strong concerning all the b.s. that went down back then, that you have alot of former star alumni that don't even rep Evangel, but do so for Calvary. Jacob Hester being the most visible example. And both his and his wife's family were Evangel lifers.

Booty left ages ago and has little to do with it. Evangel garnered players from the area. When the school started taking vouchers the people with money withdrew and the school essentially became a local district private school. Their coach is very divisive and has been a polarizing effect on the program.

WM kept them out of the end zone in the preseason scrimmage and scored on them. Both teams will have progressed since then but that young WM offensive line, only one that ever played a down of varsity football before this season has grown up since the first of the year.

We will see what should be a great matchup if both teams get past the semi finals.

which one? Dawson left Evangel after last year. They hired Kreamer this year and then fired him for the school’s founder Duron four games in

Lol at the scrimmage talk. A scrimmage against acadiana isn’t the same thing as playing them in the playoffs.

Acadiana’s entire backfield was new as well, including a QB that was playing defensive back the year before. So I wouldn’t take a scrimmage as a measuring gauge whenever WM was shut out by Carencro a week later. Carencros defense isn’t even as good as Acadiana’s. They gave up 27 to Southside a week after the West Monroe game
I wouldn’t use a score against the second team defense in a scrimmage as some pumping your chest moment. I would pump those breaks.

I’m excited to see Destrehan make it to the semi’s in their first year with Coach Scott. The first time Robicheaux attempted to retire the program fell apart.

and it probably will fall apart with Scott. He had talented teams but they were never better than they should have been
