5A bracket - Fuk yeah!
what needs to be said is that this is the best 5A nonselect year collectively since the split. The numbers needed to get a home game or just to get in the playoffs are some of the highest ever.

you need a good solid reason why now though. We’ve had the split now for 6 years, players’ entire high school careers, and people are used to it.

Remember, it’s not just about the Dome teams. Before we had 40 quarterfinal teams, now we have 72. We had 160 playoff teams, now we have like 230.

I want to see a proposal to reduce postseason travel. We waste a lot of money and miss a lot of class time sending teams on 5 hour road trips in early rounds when they could be playing much closer opponents

one proposal gives option for 6A but lower classification selects would have a multiplier - if you look at the the top 10 in 1a and 2a and the combined power ratings - that's really where the disparity is. The smaller class schools want assurances that they won't have gorillas sent down to them again and a success factor for football(which may not fly)... with the seeding - no way to minimize travel.. going back to old way of Bi district play then factoring inward for playoffs aint likely.

they better look like lighting up the scoreboard... bc we probably will

What kind of offense do they run? Spread? I saw that they've put up pretty big numbers in all their games, but have also played hardly any decent teams given the weak district.

Go on....

I know the LW crowd on fbook has been crying racism since this all went down

Supposedly there was a guy who was involved in law enforcement in some way who kept pointing a taser at BC’s principal, but who knows. There’s probably like 81 different versions of this story

It’s complete bullshite... You know it, and everyone else knows it

So, in addition to the post game skirmish, Landry Walker used 11 ineligible players last week, so their victory has been forfeited and they will miss the playoffs, and the only reason they missed the playoffs is because they are an all black school according to the Facebook mob

this whole thing has a whole lot of eyeballs and ears on it... LW folks mad about forfeit and removal from playoffs... but there is way more to that story - and it would not be kosher for me to comment.... see louisiana prep scoreboard's FB post on it - they have a little insight to part of the issue....

Said it before and I will again. I don’t follow anymore, but glad when I played I knew we were competing for a real championship. As a competitor, our coaches and team at my public school were happy to play the tough private schools and show them we were better. We thrives on the challenge and it was more fun that way. The split makes this whole thing a joke and a bunch of paper champions.

All I saw was this:

quote:

Biggest change today comes in the 4A bracket. Landry Walker was removed due to being put on ‘restrictive probation’ which does not allow for post season play. The reason for violating probation was allowing ineligible players to participate in their Friday Night win over Belle Chasse. The win has since been changed to a forfeit.

That’s pretty much what I said

I see that I never mentioned that they were already on probation. Is that what I missed?
