Congratulations to Iowa!
But some crappy high school officiating for sure.
Just adding the announcers weren't the best either.

quote:don’t listen to the announcers. If he kicks a legal kick, he is protected. Which he did kick a legal kick. Tough break for ND
ChoupiqueSuishi going to have to explain that one, The punter did not re-establish him self. He just turned and kicked.

It’s a bad rule. There is no way a defender can pull up in that spot. The punter with his back to the LOS picks up the ball and spins to kick without hardly taking a step. The defense was chasing a fumble just a fraction of a second before the ball was kicked.
Due to Suishi’s clarification, I’ll have to cut the ref sonw slack but the rule is awful. The kicking team was rewarded for snapping the ball over the punter’s head.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Ehhhh. I could be on ND’s side if he took off running.

or a QB in shotgun and muffs snap it touches the ground then spikes ball. then you see a coach lose his mind especially if under 2 minutes.....

I saw that one called this year.

Are you telling me that a qb in shotgun can drop a snap and still be allowed to pick it up and spike the ball to stop the clock? I didn’t even think a qb could spike the ball from shotgun on a clean snap.

quote:Yes a gun qb now can, but if he muffs it and it hits ground and then spikes it = intentional grounding loss of down..... if under 2 mins the defense can choose to start clock on ready

Anyone have the stats or box score of the Iowa North Desoto game?

The cooper kid from Jena is the best player I’ve seen at the dome so far. Pretty sure he’s a sophomore

Any reason I could watch the game last night on YouTube but nothing for this game going on now?

Take emotion out of it it was roughing all the way. Coaches could have played it safe and not rush anyone when all you had to do was gain possession. They had trouble stopping you all game.
I was there as a neutral spectator. The refs didn’t cost them the game. Rule was applied to a tee. That’s roughing. Period.
