Do away with the asinine seeding they have now that everyone knows is incorrect . Not a single human being thought Teurlings was a legit 2 seed

They have to find a way to put Catholic on other side of draw. Only team that can compete with Karr Would be awesome in Dome

Or… hear me out…

Catholic should not lose 2 regular season games.

The seeding is a math equation… and Catholic had a lower seed because they lost in nondistrict

You’re right but they could also not schedule any competition and just skate through. If what’s being floated occurs, next years schedule will be another great experience for the team.

Catholic would have had a combined score of 650-12 with teurlings schedule

I’ve been around HS football my whole life and I’ve never heard anyone complain about the seeding

I don’t know man, something about how you think you know everything really gets under my skin - and yes, I realize that’s a ‘me’ problem.. I’m working on it

Thoughts as someone who hasn’t watched a high school football game in many years - Edna Karr was extremely impressive. Looked like a college team

and in the old days folks complained of having to play the two best teams in bi district or regional round(mainly catholic league getting the then powerful nola and jeff parish schools and shreve getting monroe...) so here we are. The two best teams have indeed not met in first or second rounds any longer - just some crazier travel earlier on. generally speaking the best teams are ending up in semis and finals.

What? The seeding has always been bad

2023 had holy cross as the 1 seed and Shreve as the 2 seed

1 game COMBINED was won by them in the playoffs.

There was NO human input into that. It’s strictly what the math spits out

If I remember right Karr had a year where they had a few forfeits? But I do remember them whipping that Holy Cross team. I was telling people then HC was a paper tiger that year

I think Shaw thought SCC only had one timeout left. Even after the helmet toss. Only thing that explains them still kneeling on 2nd and 3rd down. A cluster all around for that staff.

The timeout got restored with the penalty stoppage of the clock.

What do you propose as an alternative?

the clock was stopped for penalty enforcement when the TO was called. Under 2 mins of a half offended team has option for starting clock on ready for play or snap, provided the clocked would not have ordinarily been stopped after play IE incomplete pass or ball out of bounds.

I know we have some refs on here and maybe it was discussed but if that kid from Shaw didn't throw his helmet up in the air but helmet was off, would they have still been penalized?

If he took it off to celebrate, draw attention or taunt(which can be verbal) still a foul.

The realistic exception being if say a players helmet got knocked off kilter and he simply took it off - no foul.

Youthful excuberance and UNS can be a fine line.

Funny thing in 1999 I sat with some Bear parents for semifianal with ECA and in pregame they were lamenting being on the same side of the bracket with ECA. I simply pointed out that so y'all think being on the West Monroe side would be better? Reminding them that bears were like 2-6 vs that monroe district since moving up to state's highest class.....
