Was that ever proposed?

I remember them saying the same thing about Curtis...

15 teams. 3 5-team districts.

Odd-numbered districts suck. The LHSAA tries to make sure they get districts with an even number of members wherever possible. It makes scheduling much easier, particularly for football.

WM has even more reason to make big changes...and fast.

Karr and Carencro both in 5A with larger student body and elite staffs? Not looking good for the foreseeable future.

Hats off to Karr, Brown said for months he wanted this. He has it and he can go beat the best in 5A every year now. 5A is about to be insane.

There is a proposal to reunite just 5A for football.

I just don’t see that happening. I’d like to see it, but don’t think it will.

One time I made the mistake of driving 73 in Geismar at 7:15. It’s like coming into BR on 1-10 East during rush hour.

Maybe worse but just wait till the plant baws get off work with the school traffic going back toward I-10.

5A should be reunited

It’s simply more fun for all the big boys to get a chance at each other. There should only be one winner of the big boys. Who cares if you fall short and aren’t that team. The memories of the chase to be that team will always be there.

I see this proposal failing in a pretty big way.

Too many people are satisfied with the split.

I am not one of those people, but I simply don’t see this as having much of a chance at all.

Any chance this actually holds fruit? Or a fruitless hopeless endeavor?

I hope the former.

5A regular season would be must see every week.

This is garbage of true. Actually ask the players who compete what they want. At that age they want to compete against the best.

Once again adults screwing kids who want to be great by playing the best.

The gates in that district would be huge.

Public school stadiums in EBR suck outside of the independents. I’m glad McK is supposedly leaving because I won’t to go to a game there again. Same for Broadmoor. It’s not even the area. The stadiums and programs are just sad.

An EBR district would not be as bad as face value. Woodlawn is on the rise and Central has been competitive before.
