So the USC alumni and boosters wanted USC to have a bigger share of the TV revenue sharing pie from the other schools in the conference? Have they seen how well that worked out in the Big 12 with Texas and OU getting more money than the other teams in the conference? It ended up almost killing the Big 12.

A lot of USC's problems seem to stem from one donor family, that of B. Wayne Hughes who created the mini-storage industry.

He was the one in the letter who pushed for Swann and ran protection for friends at the University.

Every word in that letter is 100% accurate and fair.

Folt seems to know what she’s doing so far at least.

Foit was the hire they needed.

I do not blame Max Nikias as much as I blame the Board of Trustees, expecially Rick Caruso. So long as Nikias was keeping the dollars flowing in they looked the other way on growing issues. Those issues are now costing USC a billion dollars or more. By the time the Tyndall case is completely settled and the lawyers are paid it may cost a half billion by itself.

I think the beauty of the letter is in its composure and in its cutting honesty. A TLDR will not provide its due justice

USC is a shitshow and obsessed with money to the detriment of the university and victims. Pat Haden was a spineless weasel. Lynn Swann does nothing but play golf. Fire everyone and hire people that are experienced and connected to USC

The Pac12 had non-equal revenue sharing for years. That only changed in the most recent TV deal, which has been a complete disaster. Pat Haden and Dan Guerrero sold out USC and UCLA.

I guess there is something to be said for the SEC’s power programs having relatively minor TV footprints (Florida has multiple big name teams, Atlanta is a transplant city and has tech, Memphis is split amongst Tennessee and Ole Miss) that revenue splitting/equal sharing isn’t a deal breaker for anyone really.

I could be completely wrong but it seems like the SEC cooperates pretty well with each other, for the most part.

Wish someone would send a letter like that to Wayne Davis (UT chancellor)

I think that’s exactly what it is.
