Those saying that Dwight, Durant, CPIII, AI, Ray Allen, etc. aren't pretty close to locks, obviously don't understand how thebasketball HOF works.

No kidding. Chris Paul is one of the finest pg's to EVER play the game. In my opinion, the best.

some are but not all. Michael Jordan would be great in every generation. So would Lebron, Kobe, shaq, and other all time greats

So you're asking me how many centers have had 5 year runs better than Amare Staudamire?

Arguing with you is pointless if you think Shaq is a better defender than Howard. You can go by awards, articles on the internet. ANYTHING Howard is the better defender hands down. Havent seen a whole lot of Wilt but he's not known as a great defender.

And Shaq beat out all time greats like Mutombo and Ben Wallace.

You missed his top 5 defensive centers of all time list? Here it is:

Russell
Olajuwon
Mutombo
[Ben] Wallace
Howard

I think Olajuwon was better than Shaq.
Shaq had a good 10 year run. During that run Robinson, Mutombo, Wallace, Mourning, Hakeem and Ewing all had at least some part of their prime during Shaq's dominant years.

You can't come close to naming anyone of that caliber that has played with Dwight, which isn't his fault.

I'll put the 2 years of Yao's prime up against Mournings and Wallaces. Hell Mutombos too.

Yao CAREER PER 23.0

Ewing AND Mourning only had 3 individual seasons in their whole career over 23. Yao is underrated.

People hate Dwight so he doesn't get the credit he deserves when he was playing with the Magic.

I don't like Dwight, but he should absolutely be a lock for the HOF. The guy dragged a team with Hedo Turkoglu as its second best player to the finals.

What he did defensively for that team was unreal. Only Mickael Pietrus and Courtney Lee were good defenders.

Turkoglu, Nelson, and Lewis are all way below average defenders.

Yao was incredible when he played. It sucks he couldn't stay healthy.

Kobe's dunk on Yao was pretty epic, tho.

Hedo did play well, tho. Really well, actually. Gortat was backup center. They were burning the net with 3's. Jameer was shooting well. Lakers just had a better bench, better perimeter defense, better starting 5. They were just a better team.

I don't know how it is possible people are saying Dwight shouldn't get in.

There is no one on this planet that can debate me and tell me Alonzo Mourning is a better player than Dwight Howard and Zo is in. I love Mourning, but there is no way he is as good as Howard

Played a HUGE role in sending Lebron out of CLE the 1st go round. The Decision, not one not two not three, etc etc none of that happens without D12 dominance v the Cavs in the ECF.

Sees thread title, sees Boom is the most recent comment, and knows it has to be about Dwight....

Who I absolutely agree will be in the HOF

Yeah, but Alonzo had a great basketball career before the NBA too. Didn't he win Athlete of the Year or something like that?
