The fact that you even try to sound objective in Kobe/LeBron/Jordan threads makes me laugh.

I never said I tried to sound objective. You must be reading that from all the logic in my posts. Thanks for the compliment.

Well I can't say they were great.

But really, the rim was clearly too tight, and that's not on Lebron!!!!

I feel bad for you guys that just like a certain player not a certain team.

I've sat through some AWFUL texans teams, so last year when we made the playoffs then won a game it was really special and awesome for me. you guys will never have that joy, the loyalty of sticking through w/ a bad team (a la LSU in the 90s) then watching them kick arse. It's pretty sweet.

You do realize PER is calculated for 12 players, not just 1, correct?

Gonna answer my question? How predictive is it for WINNING? Isn't that the point of basketball?

Liking multiple teams is the way to go. That way if one disappoints you just move on to the next one. :GeauxThunder:

It's just one sport.

I'm a fan of kentucky basketball AND football.

So i still have the feeling you talk about.

I'm only a fan of players in the NBA.

Well, I do have a team(I know others in here have said they don't)

If the Hornets played Chris Paul's team and then Lebron's team in the playoffs, make no mistake, I'm 100% rooting for the Hornets.

But unlike some folks around here and in this thread, I'm also going to at least put a little effort into being unbiased about the whole thing,

Your question was regarding the PER leader of ONE player, not a team.

What's to answer, it was a terrible question, because you don't understand the concept.

yep. this past season was the first time they were even decent, and I feel like I earned it. never missed a game, season ticket holder since '06, bought all the gear.... if Lebron wins a ring you guys will be excited. If the Rockets/Texans/Astros/Tigers win a ship, I fap to the memories of it for the following 2 years

See, man, this is what you Lebron fans are missing out on.

If you hate Lebron and the Heat, you automatically have a team to cheer for every night the Heat play. A vested interest in the Heat's demise is one of the most entertaining things you can have.

And if the Heat move on, you just cheer for the next team. Odds are that they will lose eventually and you will win.

No, YOU don't understand PER. It is more slanted towards USAGE than actually efficiency with only about a 30% predictive ability with regards to winning.
