This topic presents difficult issues to address as both players have proven to be clutch generally over the course of their career. However, the instances and the amount of instances where LeBron shrank from the occasion exceed that of Kobe's. The only time I recall Kobe shrinking was the 2006 NBA playoffs game 7 where he basically refused to shoot the ball (remarkably led the team in scoring still) and the Lakers lost. Mamba Mentality, man, as great as LeBron was I generally want Kobe to be handling the basketball in the clutch moments, I know what he will do or strive to do, no uncertainty he'll freeze like LeBron did in 2011.

LOL. LBJ was, significantly, better than Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Lebron fans always trying to pull stupid arse irrelevant "advanced stats" that don't mean shite, out of their arse when comparing players. Lebron fans are a bunch of nerds,"according to my calculations, lebron had a better HJU%" Nobody cares what hvccStg% means, all we care about is rings, that is all that matters

In the final five minutes(clutch), Kobe averaged 3.5 points on 39.3% shooting and 29.2% from deep. He also turned the ball over an average 0.3 times and held a plus-minus of 0.8.

By contrast Lebron in the clutch averages 3.7 points on 46.8% shooting and 32.5% from three. His plus-minus was also well above Kobe's at 1.46.

But but but his nickname was Mamba

Truth is if you pick Kobe you are nothing more than a woman. A human being that sticks with their emotional feelings no matter how much evidence to the contrary is thrown in their face

Simply not the case, I acknowledge the stats isolated favor LeBron from a historical perspective but stats don't tell the whole story/context, I've also seen LeBron crumble or perform badly in the clutch as well more often than I need to: the greatest Finals meltdown in history against a beatable Mavs team, turning the ball over 3 TIMES in 2013 game 6 to almost nullify the comeback he led, all the times he's LeBricked in the clutch, his total shutdown against the Warriors in OT game 1 LAST YEAR, getting schooled by KD TWICE in the clutch in back to back Finals, etc. I don't recall seeing that much with Kobe, appears to me he makes all these clutch shots or gets to the line a lot and drains them except for 2006 game 7. I perceive that killer instinct (Mamba Mentality) simply more from Kobe than I do with LeBron in the high stakes. Doesn't mean LeBron isn't clutch just my opinion.

Kobe was so bad in the clutch Kobe and Eli Manning are two of the most propped up players in modern sports history (25 years) because of where they played (and who they played with).

I’m a Kobe guy and he’s my favorite basketball player of all time, but he’s not on Lebrons level.

Lebron top 3
Kobe top 15
