Ray Allen left for less money. The Celtics tried to keep him and wanted to make one more run, but he bailed.
So I have a hard time seeing Garnett's situation comparable to Allen's.

at the media trying to force this narrative. I've seen OP's exact title on a few other articles. shite like this is why athletes should either stick to only saying "no comment" and the most PC of responses to reporters. When you actually say what's on your mind it gets twisted into whatever story they want to tell.
