This is the laziest talking point swirling around the entire situation. If you don’t see the difference between a person buying an iPhone in Baton Rouge with their money, and a damn near billionaire athlete keeping his mouth shut to keep his bottom line fat, I don’t know what to tell you.
Not to mention the massive difference in audiences. If you tweet a hot take on Facebook only your mom is going to see it. If Lebron tweets it, it’s the leading news story for the day.
You think that would be a useful tool in shedding light on the massive human rights violations occurring in China right now?

My team and this league just went through a difficult week. I think people need to understand what a tweet or statement can do to others. And I believe nobody stopped and considered what would happen. Could have waited a week to send it.

Why did he bring up the financial ramifications of the tweet?
