Do your research the information is there. When Trump says the game is rigged his supporters believe it, when black people say the same thing it's the race card. Here is just a few; targeted biased banking practices, not getting the same or even none of the GI benefits after WW2 as their counterparts, biased house zoning, Jim Crow.... all those things don't count? It wasn't that long ago. Areas of black success have been burned to the ground preventing generational wealth etc. But feel free to have a look, but it you and I both know it won't make a difference to the narrative.... down vote away.

I’d say his legacy is one of being the most popular athlete on the planet, having an incredible platform and possibly the one individual that has the most clout and persuasion over an entire race, and he happens to be a mental midget possibly the most ignorant and in fact racist takes one can have on nearly every single thing that he says. A person like Lebron James could have so much good influence in the world, yet he is incapable of it.

I can get with you on the first one, to a degree. Will the others still be excuses 100 years from now? Probably so. The points that PTE made are valid. They don’t encompass an entire race, but they are valid. They’re valid for poor whites, too. Check hiring practices in the public sector. A white candidate has to be head and shoulders above a minority candidate in qualifications, or the minority job candidate gets the job 100% of the time.

We are on a message board so hard to discuss the subtle points.
I'm not putting a time frame on the impact of events as you never know how long these things can play out.
As for hiring practice in the public sector I haven't heard about that one. So I'll take a look.
