LeBron did. That's the context that you're avoiding because it's one of the many things that blows up your cockamamie interpretation of a very simple diatribe from LBJ.

I'll side with the one with greater than a high school education when it comes to economics and management of an organization.

You’re like the kid who puts his fingers in his ears and screams because he knows he’s wrong and can’t respond.
And once again Lebron shouldn’t throw slave around loosely. It’s a slap in the face to people who were or are actually slaves. If he was trying to compare NBA players benefits compared to what NFL players go through, then he should have said that instead. But the use of “old white men” makes it seem like he referring to the old American slavery and likens the owners and thus the players to that.

You’re name calling and inching closer to getting personal. This indicates weakness.
My line of thinking represents the parts of the thinkings of James and Marvin Miller’s SCOTUS victory that overlap. It is supported by the dictionary and SCOTUS precedent. Take it as you will.

quote:If that’s the argument you wish to make, good luck. James clearly sees a difference between the NBA and NFL and sees the NFL as much less favorable. I remember you bringing up context.
NBA players also toil. If James is using the definition you claim, then he himself is also a slave being oppressed by those who have the same mentality.

Again, you completely ignore the context of James' comments. Additionally, you ignore the fact that the more benign definition you wish to project would undermine the point LeBron was trying to make. For some reason you're unwilling to cast LeBron in a dim light even though his comments clearly warrant it.

James took it much further than that and you know it.

Keep making stupid arse arguments, you'll get more of the same, dummkopf.

I’m willing to bet that are far enough away from the NFL lifestyle that you don’t have enough information to confidently speak on this topic. YOU don’t have a damn clue how the NFL players are treated.
Then you start dissecting the word slavery. This is a poor attempt at best to validate what James is saying. I’ll leave it at that.
Does this mean white players are treated like slaves also? Is Tom Brady a ‘victim’?
These athletes are given the platform to perform their talents and market themselves. The owners aren’t ‘holding anybody down’.

Yeah no one is arguing this but you.
Unfortunately that's not all James did

Think he might be a contrarian troll or something

Nah, he actually believes whatever he's trying to convey. He just gets lost trying to argue.
He and DS are twins.

If James had just said "players in the NBA have more career control and voice than players in the NFL," that would have been fine, dandy, and true. But yeah he took it way past that into the realm of racism and comparing millionaire athletes to slaves.

Yeah James is great at basketball but he's in way over his head here.

All i mean is that i don’t necessarily disagree with that specific point by Tbird.
