So all other data aside, the 8 head to head games with the 5-3 record and +44 point differential favoring the Bulls isn't enough to convince you they were better?

I mean come on. It's ridiculous to argue Seattle was better when they actually showed they were not better when they played that many games.

I like how he likes to say "I'm so smart I called Cleveland being better than GSW last year and they were when they won the 7 game series" but then says Seattle was the superior team to the Chicago when they went down in 6.

It's just a bunch of psuedointellectial nonsense.

And his only supportive "data" to his claims are his eyes.

He comes across like an absolute idiot, so I hope this isn't his idea of playing intellectual. Posts like this are painfully stupid:

This might be my favorite response in the entire thread.

What is idiotic is that I am referring to at that point in time.

They obviously were NOT better than Chicago after the fact. Before the series began many thought Seattle could beat them. Just like the suns and just like the Lakers. I'm not saying today they were better, they weren't. Before the series started in 96' I thought Seattle had a better front-line that could dominate and limit Chicago offensively with Rodman neutralized. Then at the end of Game 2 Rodman went into super-human mode and saved the day.

It was not asinine at the time to think Seattle could beat them. Many bets were made on Seattle.

You actually thought I am referring to today, that Seattle team, is still better??

Man, come on fellas, are ya'll so dense you can't see that I was referring to before the series started.

I thought they were better than Chicago before the series started. Ya'll reach worse than Joe Dumars.

Chicago was favored by 10 in the first two games at home. They were favored by 2, 5.5, and 5.5 in the three games at Seattle, and they were favored by 9.5 when they came back home for Game 6.

In fact, that was the only NBA Finals series that Chicago was the betting favorite in every game of the series. Seattle might be the worst possible example to a team that people thought would take down Chicago in the finals.

I expect Thompson, Love, and Lebron to absolutely destroy Golden State on the glass all night.

Yeah, they can't have Love camping behind the arc all game. They got plenty of other guys that can do that now.

I can't wait to see them beat GS again.

Great points, I won't argue the lines of the games.

What I am arguing is my intuition and making bet based on what I believe to be the right call. I saw both teams play a lot that season and I came to the conclusion that Vegas had it wrong. I did not think that Chicago was that much better and they weren't as Seattle covered and won straight up in multiple games.

Before the series I had serious doubts as a Chicago Bulls fan because of Payton and Kemp. They were wrecking all season and very good defensively. Rodman I saw being neutralized on the glass. Game 2 Rodman saved chicago's arse and possibly season in the late 3rd and 4th quarter even scoring 8 points at one point.

Seattle was not as far off as you want to believe.

That Lakers team probably would have won had Worthy not been hurt in the previous series--he then sat out the subsequent 4 and 5 game of the finals. They won Game 1 and Game 3 went into overtime. A healthy Worthy and Scott (he was also injured in Game 3) probably would have won that series.

The teams Jordan played were damn good. He earned his shite. Those Utah teams with 2 of the top 20 players to ever play the game were very good also.

It is easy to go back and say Jordan had it easy when he is the best human to every play the game, but at the time very few thought it would be easy. It wasn't easy. Phoenix game 6 with Paxson, and Utah game 5 (flu game); Utah Game 6 with Jordan saving the day on the jumper over Russell.

Don't cheapen what Jordan accomplished.

The East is so weak that this isn't impressive. Lebron will never reach Jordan heights.

No one, in fact their games have been even less competitive than Cleveland's. But that fact won't stop this narrative that they have to negotiate this murderer's row of opponents.

While I think the graphic is comparing Shaq and Steph's season percentages to his current playoff run of stats, it doesn't look like either of those guys have averages like that in the a season of playoffs either.
