Are you saying Lebron melted down in 2008?
27/6/7 averages at age 23 against KG/Pierce/Rondo/Ray Allen all while Delonte West, Wally Sczerbiak, and Z were the teammates on the court the most for Cleveland other than Lebron.
He took the Celts to Game 7 against at this point an underrated great Celts team, when the Cavs didn't belong on the same floor with them.

No but he did the next two years when his teams had home court advantage throughout the playoffs both times and high odds to make the Finals, objectivity my friend, apply it

Yeah Lebron really melted down when he put up 38.5/8/8 on 49% from the field against the Magic.
I don't know how anyone can be objective and blame Lebron for not making the finals in 2009.

Yeah they had HC advantage the entire playoffs, high odds to make the Finals, and they lose to a team THAT KOBE BEAT, those stats don’t mean jack shite if you don’t win, ask Wilt Chamberlain which is funny since LeBron’s literally this era’s version of him, empty stats
ETA: not only all that, THEY LOST IN 6 GAMES barely put up a fight

You have failed to make a single point that backs up your original claim that "Lebron James melted down". Not really surprising given your history but just thought I would point it out in case you wanted to attempt to redeem yourself.

Plus we have to take it in context, LeBron’s Cavs were quite experienced playing and advancing in the East playoffs at this point, reaching the Finals two years prior, Dwight’s Magic never played at this level to that point during his tenure and they defeated the favored Cavs in 6, sure more technical stuff explains it but, if we break it down simply, that’s LeBron submitting empty stats which don’t mean anything. I obviously believe and have argued that LeBron’s the best player of the last decade and a half but that team should’ve advanced to play LA and didn’t, they weren’t at their best when they had to be at their best and there’s really no way around that.

Lol from the guy who can’t defend a 66-win team with home court advantage the entire playoffs and extensive East playoff experience losing to an inexperienced team in the conference finals, the argument speaks for itself, use your brain, buddy

They were, quite literally, a 66 win team because of Lebron's brilliance.
The fallacy in your "argument" lies in your lack of objectivity and context in the metrics which you conveniently choose to rely on.
Your point is that Lebron James melted down because his team won 66 games in the regular season and had homecourt advantage, yet did not make the finals.
The Cavs won 66 games because of how good Lebron was, not because of how good the rest of the team was. Please feel free to argue to the contrary that a team with Mo Williams, Delonte West, Varajeo, and Z as the 2-5 leaders in minutes is a core that should be winning 66 games.
It would be one thing if Lebron failed to live up to his regular season brilliance. Then you maybe have a case for melting down, even though he didn't have a roster that should ever be sniffing an NBA finals to begin with. Instead, he played even above his regular season greatness to the tune of 38/8/8 but his team just wasn't good enough.
It just wasn't sustainable. It is akin to a baseball player being on pace for 100 HR midway through the season, but "just" finishing with 60 and calling it a meltdown because he couldn't live up to that impossibly high bar only set because of his own insane greatness.
If viewed in the proper context, it should be "wow Lebron carried that Cavs team to 66 wins".

Orl was more or less Dwight and 4 guys. Orlando didn’t really have a second banana. Didn’t stop d12 from making the finals did it. East was utterly pitiful for a lot of brons time out there.

Eh, Mo could off set either Turkoglu or Lewis but not both. Mo shot 37% from the field that series.

These reactionary threads are so silly. Perhaps he just had a bad shooting night. It’s not like he outplayed both Giannis and Kawhi back to back right before the season stopped or anything
And like a true superstar, Lebron still found a way to have a massive impact on the game even with a bad shooting night with his elite playmaking and by playing superb defense

Like I said, he has that impact on a game like MJ and Bird had even when they didn’t score many points that’s why they’re all-time greats

Playing like the fifth best player on the court right now offensively. Defense has been nice though
He’ll average 35 PPG when the playoffs start.

The Lakers are AD's team now. LeBron is just along for the ride.

Not only that, LeBron already LED THAT CAVS TEAM to the Finals 2 years prior so obviously he had the blueprint on how to succeed in the East at that time. Now, there was no way in hell Bron and the Cavs were gonna defeat an all-time great basketball team in the 08 Boston Celtics same in 06 with the Pistons that won 64 games like those are out of the question. Now I def think the 10 Celtics should’ve won the chip (game 7 rigged) but Bron and Cavs has home court that playoffs and he REALLY melted down then but that’s beside the point.

LeBron became the best player in basketball somewhere between 2007 to 2010 and lasted until 2015- 2017
LeBron took that title from Kobe in Game 5 of the 2007 ECF when he stole that game and series from a much better Pistons team.
