The Thompson signing was probably worth it, because Cleveland does not win the title without him in 2016.

But right now, it’s hard to describe how terrible those moves look. I know you love Lebron, and you’ll defend everything he ever does related to basketball, but it’s ok to say that this team put around him at the moment could be a lot better if he wouldn’t have meddled.

and hasn't been the best player on the court since game 1.

Curry Game 2
KD Game 3

After 3, AD was only down 2-1 vs the GOAT, no injury iggy.

The true best player.

He is playing at a dumb level but the honest truth is his team is only winning if he puts up a Herculean effort and he has only done that in 1 game.

I dont understand this. He needs 40 a game to make it close, but when he loses with ONLY 35 points, he gets criticized. Im not even a Lebron fan, but im disgusted by the hate he is receiving...

What about the combined averages of all 3 games.....?

You are showing evidence of single game efforts. Steph has been wildly inconsistent. Why isnt he getting blame? Oh yeah, cause Durant carried him this game. But no, lets hate on Lebron for not scoring 200....

his greatness as a player threatens the greatness of a lot of posters' childhood idol, Michael Jordan...

rather than just appreciating the greatness of BOTH, they make it into a tribal pissing contest where only one can be great (Jordan) and the other should be mocked for not being Jordan....

i'm a Lebron fan, but i absolutely would critique some of the moves he had a hand in... and sort of forcing Kyrie's hand goes into that...

Not hating on LeBron at all. Numbers are arbitrary. Game by Game circumstances i.e. Pace, strategy, coverage,match-ups,effort can change...I'm simply saying he hasn't been the best player on the court every game. LeBron controlled Game 1. Curry controlled game 2. Curry got zero calls, trapped and hedged heavy this game.

KD dominated tonight. On LeBron's homecourt. The more you watch basketball, the more you realize numbers don't mean as much.

Maybe LeBron is the best player in game 4 and only scores 20...and gets the Cavs offense going.Point being, stats can be misleading. He's one of the best to ever play, but in these Finals? Still to be determined.

How far is he in your head, if you're still choosing to mock him of all people, after these Finals?

I get making fun of LeGM, because he put this team around him. I've said it before, but I still don't get the hate for him as a player.

How about us legions of people who do not give a shite?

and yes I posted in a thread I don't give a shite about because I do give a shite about saying how much I don't care.

Lebron was clearly the 2nd best player though. If stats dont mean anything, why was Durant the best player?

Its because he had the best stats in a dominating performance. Number are everything in basketball. Numbers from players show more success of a team vs any other sports. And some dumbass will say its because there are only 5 players for a team on a court at a time, but that further proves the point that dominant players in the NBA decide the outcome. Aka the Warriors are stacked and Lebron isnt.

So why is that Lebrons fault? You cant say he isnt clutch because he lost to 2 players (Steph/Durant) who will go down in history. I even said Lebron making it here again was enough for the legacy that isnt even over yet.

85% from the line from a star sort of really sucks.

Magic and Bird were like 97% from the line.

There's a guy down the street who works for Target who can hit 98%.

Larry Bird hit 90% for a career in the playoffs.

Steph Curry has 89% career playoffs.

J.J. freaking Reddick has a career 88% in the playoffs.

List of guys with better career playoff FT %

Ray Allen (saved your arse LeBron, didn't he?)
Jeff Hornacek
Wally Szczerbiak
Ray Allen
Dirk
Steve Nash
Reggie Miller

And like 50 other guys who are all over 90.

You can't be a superstar and be under 90. You just can't.

Lebron is EASILY a top 5 GM in the league.

And he's clearly the best player to ever live.

It’s very interesting to pair those statements with the “Lebron has no help” arguments.

2 of the 3 can be true and but not all three if you want consistency in your arguments.

Wow. Stopped reading. Making your teammates better, controlling possessions, making the right play, WINNING is everything in basketball.

I'll make a Lebron GM moves thread if you want me to.

It's been long overdue. But nobody gives a shite about exploring ANYTHING around here.

So I guess nvm.

So MJ isn’t a star? He shot 83% from the line for his career. So did Kobe. Magic shot right at 85%. You’re gonna tell me Kareem, Shaq, Malone, Barkley, and Hakeem aren’t superstars? They all shot below 75% at the line. frick out of here. That’s the dumbest take I’ve ever heard.
