Skip Holtz might be the worst late game coach I have ever seen - he let SELA get a 1st on a fake punt late in the 4th quarter when they needed about 15 yards - punt safe never even entered his mind...

Cole Kelley played well.
But on a great many accounts our defense was just not in a good position most of the night. Receivers were wide open. Nobody was watching the middle. Little pressure was applied. Absolute dunces on that fake punt.

We win but Skip Holtz should be fired. He is an absolute disgrace. With the talent that we have on the field we should have won this game by 30. And last week blowing a 20 point lead on the road in the 4th quarter against Mississippi State. I hope the new AD is watching all this nonsense but I doubt he has the balls to make a move after his first year on the job. Sonny Dykes is going to run it up on us next week when SMU comes to Ruston.

Delusional baw. Kelley is miles better than Kendall. Our WR’s are better. Our oline dominated y’all front 7. Ferlando Jordan would easily be y’all best corner, and Zy Alexander is looking like he may be Robert Alford level good for us.
If you genuinely think y’all are 30 points better then you don’t know a thing.
The pick 6 and targeting penalty is the difference between SLU winning and the result that happened.

If you want to pick and choose plays of course it can look better or worse.
If we don’t do that stupid play before half (feels like Skip loves to use that) and leave your punter completely unguarded on that fake, the score swings at least 10 points. Im just glad we won.

If he was the Arkansas QB tonight against UT there would be legit talk of him being a first rounder. Not saying he should be, but he has a ton of intangibles that scours drool over.

Congrats to SELA for playing a great game. They should do well in FCS. I’d imagine after the loss to MooSt, it would be hard to take a Sunbelt team seriously, but we got beat by NWSt in almost the same way. Hell ULL was lucky to beat Nichols St tonight as well.
